It's been 5 days since my ear exploded on me.
(No exaggeration there. Think white pasty gunk, some
yellowish liquid that looks like pus to me, and lotsa blood.)

Went to see the doc last Friday night. Just to get everything checked out. No luck. (Or maybe I met a con job doc.) 20 pills and countless cream applications later, it still looks like this:
Don't think it takes a genius to knowwhich ear's the one playing up, right?
I think it's getting bigger. And it doesn't help that I'm pale as sheet... (Hmmm. Pale as shit. Pale as sheet. Argh, whatever lah. Either way works. Quite cool.) ...so the red ear really stands out in comparison to the rest of me. I had a friend ask me, "Hey Pam, is your ear okay ah? It's... red." -_- How lah now??? Is there such a thing as ear elephantitis ah? I sket! Sigh.

it says there either viral or bacterial. Bacterial can be treated wif antibiotics. The former requires surgery. U need an ear specialist i guess. SJMC or UM?
Hmm I have a japanese intern also had a case like yours. Hers is EVEN MORE BIGGER! Much more bigger than yours, really! ScARY though. We took her to Klinik Mediveron. And the doctor just poke her ear and squeeze all the pus out, it was A LOT! Flowing! Later, gave her some med, and it's okay. Her ear is back to normal few days later. :)
I tihnk if yours is bacterial infection, it shudn't be a big prob~ :) No worries! Go see a doctor ya if the cream you are applying is not much of use.. :)

Hey, i got the same problem on my left ear poke it and all the nana came out. Now smaller a bit but I think it will grow again. My right ear worse, it's now a cyst. Need to operate on it doctor say.
haha, yes i think it may be a small cyst. My friend had one before and she had it operated on. Just a teeny little cut! :) But I am no doctor just a choco addict!

if the creams aren't working then ur using the wrong type. tell me what the cream is and what the pills are. if u wanna keep it clean for now, wash it with a bit of dettol every night before sleeping. try not to sleep on that ear. if it feels boggy, means there's still pus that needs to be pressed out.
i'm sure its nothing serious pammy. it'll go away in a bit.
however, if you insist, i can donate my fats from my tummy. it's high quality premium human fats. i'm sure the plastic surgeon could mould or carve something that suits you from it!

I know what SJMC stands for, otherwise i wouldnt have mentioned it in the 1st place @2.43pm. Subang Jaya Medical Center, like 1U havin 2wings. In fact i'd been there bout 3yrs ago to donate plasma to my then coursemate's bro who was admitted to the ICU there, coz previously he was mistakenly given tainted blood for his thalassemia treatment at UM. So he was discharged from UM and admitted to SJMC. sigh UM sigh! He's fine now.
And good to know yours is juz Bacterial then, given the doc's prescribing u pills n stuff. If that still doesnt work then its a needle poke to the ear and sewage discharge, eewwww.

woahhh now that's big ... must be some allergy is it ? i had a similar experience once upon a time and it only subsided after a week -_-" i couldn't even sleep on my side where the ear ballooned -_-" but then again it wasn't as big as yours comparing to your other ear :P

Well, I took IT. It was a twinning prog wif Northrumbria. But i never work in an IT firm. Got into an Oil/gas service company for a yr and a half. Now back to skool again!! I thot after BSc i was half-dead, but now doin Postgrad in a Petroleum course ending by year's end. Sometimes, me think me outta me mind picking up books again n such. Most ppl in this industry given the oil price would rather work than study, so there's abit of shortage of lecturers and students, unless they're juz upstarts doin BSc.

These activities need lots of ppl coming 2gether to work on them. This commodity price gone up, so da pay rates oso goes up (largely apply to those who work in the oilfields, not a big hike for da office based folks though). Wif da opportunity to work gettin higher pay and there's job everywhere during this window, who would wana waste time to study and/or teach. Bigshot lecturers will work as freelance consultants, getting obscene ka-chings. So shortage of teachers there. Would-be students; they can earn bigger doughs compared to other professions, why wanna study leh?
