Talent Matters

I think it's so important that Art Directors choose the right talents (i.e. models) to represent the brand they're promoting in their ads. Because when they get it wrong, it can go reaaaally wrong. Like this MalaysianCupid.com ad that popped up on Tinki Talks last week:

See that ad right at the bottom of the post?

Yeah, the one with the headline:
"Find A Loving Husband!"

A "loving husband"!? Seriously? I mean, seriously!?! That dude??? Which part of his sleazy look says, "I'm a loving husband"?! He looks more like a serial rapist with a shameless "chi ko pek" (that's Hokkien for "horny uncle") smile!! -_-''' Tak boleh pakai laaa... Tengok pun tak boleh telan. Haih.

That's why the Art Directors at KRPG make sure
they put in the time and effort to make sure that
they find just the right talent for all their clients. =p

Dun play play, man. Cyber walls (and the recently-engaged-but-will-be-married-within-the-year, "fun-sized" lady – CONGRATS, BABE!! =D) have ears. Haha. =p

Nuffnang's Got The Greatest Team!

After publishing yesterday's Munchy's Muzic advertorial, I wrote a post but didn't know if I could publish it so hot on the heels of the advertorial. (In normal cases, advertorials are supposed to appear as the first post for at least 48 hours. But since this was a short mention, I had question marks plastered across my face. Haha.) So, I asked the team at Nuffnang.

Sara Khoo from the Ads Ops team
replied. And wow! In 5 minutes! I wasn't expecting that! (Too used to lau yah Malaysian service already. Haha. =p) And since nobody on this planet ever calls me by my full first name, I proceeded to tell her to just call me 'Pam'. And then... she surprised me further.

And made my day. =)

Haha. I haven't even met Sara before!
Aren't the people at Nuffnang amazing??

It isn't just a company;
it's also a community. =)

My Water Moments

Who needs a 10.2 Mega Pixel, water-proof, shock-proof, dust-proof and temperature-proof, super power Carl Zeiss® Vario-Tessar Lens-equipped, "Exmor R" CMOS Sensor-equipped and BIONZ Image Processing Engine-equipped, multi-shot (10-photos in 1 second) ultra compact camera with 4x Optical Zoom, Intelligent Sweep Panorama, Handheld Twilight and Anti-Motion Blur features... when I can already have amazing underwater pictures with the power of Photoshop??

TADA!

*wiggles eyebrows*

Not bad huh?

*winks*

But seriously...

Who needs a 10.2 Mega Pixel, water-proof, shock-proof, dust-proof and temperature-proof, super power Carl Zeiss® Vario-Tessar Lens-equipped, "Exmor R" CMOS Sensor-equipped and BIONZ Image Processing Engine-equipped, multi-shot (10-photos in 1 second) ultra compact camera with 4x Optical Zoom, Intelligent Sweep Panorama, Handheld Twilight and Anti-Motion Blur features?

Urm... ME.

Why?

Cos that stupid pseudo-underwater picture I created
took a ridiculous amount of Photoshop-hours. >(

Like, I'm not kidding. It took a hell lot of time, okayyy. So tedious and tiring, can die. But no choice lah. I don't have an underwater camera ma... *hint hint* I haven't tried but I'm pretty sure mine dies in water. =p Anyways, here's what the scraps looked like before I started work:

1. 1 random picture of an empty apartment room.

2. 1 basic image of water.

3. 1 bubble-filled image.

4. 1 random picture of me looking like an idiot at Melbourne University.

PLUS 3,102,303 Photoshop layers
AND 209,372 back-breaking Photoshop hours...

Then only Pam Song gets to enjoy
a few good moments in fake water:

-_-'''

This is why I want need, need, NEED
the new SONY Cyber-shot TX5 so badly!

Been lusting after it ever since I saw its super powers of photography on Audrey's blog. Even asked her about it on chat some time back and imagine how badly my lust love for it grew after the woman told me that... "its the best camera ive ever owned actually."

And it's quick (maximum burst speed of 10.0 fps), it's super slim (only 94.0 x 56.9 x 17.7mm – like a deck of cards!), it's light (body weights a mere 128g), it has movie recording capabilities (720p high definition videos in MPEG4 format; it even zooms while recording!) and most importantly (for a girl), it's so, so very pretty! Look!

If you think this one's pretty, wait till you see
how hawt the black one looks! Rrr!
=p
(It comes in 5 awessum colours.)

Ahh, the SONY Cyber-shot TX5 is beauty personified.

Kelly Davis, the director of Digital Imaging business at Sony Electronics said, "Only Sony can deliver a technology-packed, ultra slim, fashionable T-series camera that is also durable. Until now, you couldn’t have it all in one camera." Well, after reading up on the specs of this RM1,499 camera and then seeing the actual SONY Cyber-shot TX5 (through a glass window -_-''' you gotta see it – it's so tiny!), I believe him!

Here are 10 reasons I think...
(let me have one and I'll be sure to write a post about how I know =p)
...the
SONY Cyber-shot TX5 is the best compact camera around.

1. It comes with a
back-illuminated "Exmor R" CMOS sensor so even if I take pictures in low-light, they still come out looking awessum possum.

2. I'll always get natural and vibrant-looking images with BIONZ Image Processing Engine that reduces noise and achieves higher accuracy in auto-focusing, exposure auto-correction and auto-white balancing, no matter what the environment.

3. I get realistic-looking photos that are accurately detailed with excellent contrast thanks to the famed Carl Zeiss® Vario-Tessar Lens in 25mm wide angle.

4. I get perfect twilight shots with the Handheld Twilight mode. Why? Cos in the dark, the camera comes to life with the powers of “Exmor R” CMOS sensor and BIONZ imaging processor combined. (Just like Captain Planet. =p)

5. No more shaky pictures cos Anti-motion Blur mode in this uber-smart camera automatically superimposes 6 visual frames to create 1 flawless optimised image – WOW! So even without a tripod... no problem! SONY Cyber-shot TX5 boleh! =p

5. It takes panoramic shots. Need I say more?

Come on, that's a GREAT function! Imagine the photo-taking possibilities! I tried taking multiple shots with my current camera and piecing it all together and trust me when I say this: It's almost impossible to achieve a flawless panoramic image. (And I already have pretty okay Photoshop skills, okayyy.) The dimensions and the widths of the images are so distorted at the sides that the pictures just don't fit seamlessly. But with the SONY Cyber-shot TX5, all I need to do it select the function and sweep – incredible!

6. It takes super quick multiple shots of 10 photos in 1 second. That's faster than I can blink, wei! Hahaha. So that makes it perfect for fast-moving activities like me shopping my heart out sports and games!

7. It's also temperature-proof and will allow me to take pictures no matter how low the temperature gets – even up to -10ÂșC! That's good enough for me cos it's waaaay below freezing! (I could so do with a camera like right now that since I'm here in Australia on holiday and it's FREAKING COLD most of the time.)

8. It's shock-proof for up to a height of 1.5m. Haha. And since I tend to have slippery fingers and loose grips, that quality of the SONY Cyber-shot TX5 should come in real handy. =p

9. It's dust-proof so no matter where I go or what I do, the SONY Cyber-shot TX5 will survive the dirt and grime of my activities. It's indestructible, I tell ya!

Best of all...

10. It's waterproof for up to 3 meters! And it's not just any waterproof camera. It's the
‘World’s Slimmest Water-proof Camera’!

Great for underwater moments
and a perfect fit for my handbag!

Wowza!

Oh, and you know what that also means?? It means that I don't have to go through the pain of simulating this *points below* underwater scene with Photoshop ever again!

3,102,303 Photoshop layers
and 209,372
Photoshop hours, remember?

It was a LOT of pain.

*drowns self in salty tears*

(Shit, I just realised I cannot even
take pictures of my tearfully dramatic last moments
on Earth if dun have waterproof camera. -_-''')

Now, don't you think that underwater picture of me would have been sooo much better-looking (and sooo much easier to create, too!) if I had a REAL super-slim, super-pretty, super-high-tech underwater camera? The 'World’s Slimmest Water-proof Camera’, to be exact? =p

*grin*

So...

.
.
.
.
.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR
THE SONY Cyber-shot TX5! =p

Sheer Awesomeness?

Was going through some of my links
and trackbacks when I discovered this:

Click here to view from source.

Haha. Now, will you look at that!
What a pleasant pre-bedtime surprise.
Makes the perfect ending to my day. =)

Well, this blogger (I'm just going to assume he/she's a 'her' cos of his/her style of writing so... her blog no name wan worrr) says, "Sheer awesomeness..." in her post but right now, I'm thinking, "Sheer AWWW-someness." Haha. (It's late lah. Forgive the homonym lameness can?? But lame also still make sense wat. Dun complain.)

So since I'd already found out about her post,
I had to say something, right? Must be polite a bit, right??

Click here to view from source.

Wonder if she'll (yes, I still think that he/she's a 'her') discover that comment or this post first. Haha. Anyhoo, since she says she's not earning from Nuffnang... (I think there should be a 'yet' somewhere. Faith the size of a mustard seed and all that, you know? =p)

Nah.

to make the girl a happy blogger.

There, I've done my part in making the world Cyberworld a better place. *beams* Time to head off to bed to catch Zs. OH-EM-GEE, CAN YOU BELIEVE I JUST SAID THAT??? It's only 2:13AM! Haha. I feel so... so... so... reformed! I totally deserve to be rewarded for this. Anyhoo, nights, guys! Catch ya tomorrow. =)

Totally Hardcore

I tell you, some people will do just about anything to win a competition. (Can win RM8,000 wor. Who dun wan?? 2nd place get RM5,000; 3rd place also get RM2,000. Not too bad wat!) Thing is... I think that these guys (and girl) just might end up walking home with the grand prize. Watch.

Is it wrong that my eyes were on the girl
a majority of the time rather than on the boys?

Haha.

Anyhoo... SO. FREAKING. COOL. RIIIGGGHHTT??? The fight scenes are even better than those in Blood: The Last Vampire, man! (Shame on Corey Yuen and his kononnya seasoned Chinese stunt crew.) I was very, very impressed. Am guessing that they're from the same Karate club or Wushu school. Haha. No way do people naturally move like that without professional training. I tell you, if these fellas don't win, there's no justice. Winner sure pay under-table money. Confirm-firm.

But they're not perfect either. (Nobody is lah, bodo.) Should you not have noticed, there was a slight error with their video submission. In the first scene where they were sitting down chilling on court, the girl actually drinks water and before the scene changes, she proceeds to screw on the bottle cap. In the next cut where we see their heads turn after the boy brings out the packet of Corntoz, it shows her still drinking water. Heh. Blooper kau kau.

Think you can do better? Join the Corntoz Express Yourself contest here. But be prepared to settle for 2nd or 3rd prize. =p

The Nuffnang-Tiger Stand Out! Party

I'm going. It's just that it's
too bad I dunno why I'm going also.

Haha.

It's not really my scene lah. The whole semi-clubbing thing and I have just never come together naturally. In fact, I think we're destined to be strangers. Haha. (Especially taking into account that people usually smoke at these events – phooi!) And the whole standing out bit? Ugh, so not my thing. I shy. (Don't laugh! It's trueee!) Blogger mingling leh? Well, the party started at 7PM. It's 8:05PM now and I'm still at home writing this. What does that tell you? And then there's lots of free booze in limited edition bottles. Good? No. Not my thing either. For one, I no longer collect bottles (I had my share of bottle-collecting days). And two, I don't drink. At all.

So... why am I going again?

Hmmm.

Too bad I dunno why I'm going also.

I'm Disgusting T_T

Remember my post about my BBB? Well... the marks are still there though that picture was from 2 or 3 days ago. *lip quivers* Stains of my session with Mr Terminator last Saturday. T_T Anyhoo, a young Nuffnanger (he's 15 going on 16 – so no fair) left me a comment on that Innit of mine. And now, I dunno whether to laugh or cry.

Every sentence got different emotion wan! How to know which one to respond to? I'm foncused! HAHA. =p Lemmie explain.

SENTENCE 1: HE SYMPATHISES WITH ME

To that, I say, "Awww," and my heart
melts like salted butter on a warm pan.

SENTENCE 2: HE LAUGHS AT MY SITUATION.

Eh eh! Why the sudden turnabout! So heartless! I tengah sakit, tengah gatal, tengah kaki merah, bengkak giler babi ni and you laugh out loud?! Mana boleh??? T_T

SENTENCE 3: HE TELLS ME THAT OTHER PARTS OF ME HAVE LOOKED MORE DISGUSTING BEFORE.

Way to stab a girl through the heart though she already lays on the ground with a "rotting" leg. T_____T *blinks back tears* I'm... I'm... I'm... disgusting? *cries* Boo hoo sniffle sniffle sob sob. ='(

Eh jeremy88se from Innit, I listen to your first sentence only, can ah? I think I like that one best. Practice selective retention. =D

p/s: I'm sorry to hear about your hamster, Hammy.

The Strawberry Ice Cream Bimbo-Styled Taste Test

It's time! What time, you ask? The time I'm finally done with my review of the LG IceCream KF350 phone! Tene nene. Tene nene.

Super lag, kan? Haha. Procrastination rocks.
A round of applause for Pam Song, everybody.
Terimakasihkerjasamaandaamatdihargai.

*blink blink*

My lame-o-meter’s out of whack. Sowwie.
I the lack of holidays. I miss ‘em too much! Haha.

ANYHOO, we're not here to talk about that. We're here to discuss how YOU can spend all you've earned with all that hard work! (Tee hee. I know some of you make big money, right? Haha.)

So put your money to good use and
get yourself this pretty, pretty phone!

The LG KF350 Ice Cream phone.

It’s retailing at RM799 now.
BUY! BUY! BUY!

Haha.

Ok lah, ok lah.
Tell you more about it first.

Personally, I think it's a superbly easy-to-use phone. Very (bimbo-) friendly. Haha. And it's pretty much a no-brainer (no pun intended) that its ease-of-use goes well with the look the Ice Cream phone comes in. Pink peas in a pod, really. Haha. Not much need to do what Nicholas Chay from Nuffnang told me to do. I.e. RTFM – acronyms for "Read The F***ing Manual. (-_- *grunt* That boy is so crude!)

So now, let’s get straight into
the nice, juicy insider stuff.
(I’m using the phone
so I’m the insider lah. Ish.)

There’s one thing about this phone that you most definitely won’t miss – THE LED EXTERNAL DISPLAY! Even from the first time I blogged about having the phone in hand, it stole my heart away. Remember this picture *points below* and how I said it made me smile?

Well, it still gets me smiling. Haha.
I mean, heck, just look how much
you can do with blinking LEDs on a phone!

Nice leh…

And, no. The magic hasn’t died for me
and the novelty has yet to wear off. =p

I like the LED external display a lot a lot cos I get to check the time without opening the phone or unlocking any keypads. You can, of course, dress it up with other designs or words of your choice. There are quite a number to choose from and you can even let your creative juices flow by creating your own dot-matrix pattern.

So cool leh! Quite a unique feature! Don’t think I’ve seen it on any other phone before. Hmmm. Anyhoo, I tried it all out, had a blast with the blinking, moving LED displays and eventually went back to the clock. Haha.

I'm so boring as a bimbo lah. -_-

The other good thing about this external LED display is that you no longer need to blind yourself each time you check for the time in the middle of the night when it's pitch black. Haha. No more peeking through lashes and squinting your eyes against the glare. (Did you know that squinting leads to wrinkles and crows feet???) Finally, a phone that cares for your million-dollar peepers! Dun play play. This phone can prevent premature ageing summore. Haha. Wheee!

Now let’s get down to the keys on the keypad. They’re are a lot bigger than that of my previous phone, but that aside, the positioning of the spacebar and most other keys are pretty much the same as any other mobile when it comes to typing SMSes. So, if you've ever gotten your hands on a mobile phone in this lifetime, you’ll be able to tornado text and speed SMS with this pink LG baby in no time – no problem. Dump the rest and come, switch to LG!

One awesome thing I discovered with the keypad’s ingenious design is this: It's definitely made for women with long, fancy nails. Haha. Seriously! Totally made for girly girls who like getting their nails all fancy-fancy-fied. They're so comfortably big that you can use the pads of your fingers to type so your falsies never get in the way! You'll also find yourself ridded of the problem of there not being anymore visible numbers after a year of use cos you no long have to claw or jab at the keypad. Plus, it doesn't have those irritatingly deep grooves between keys so you'll never get your nails snagged between them and chipping like you would on some other phones. Perfect!

As for the easily-accessible one-touch Camera On button, it’s placed where I usually press Cancel or Delete on my other phone so I found that I kept accidentally launching the camera although I didn't want to use it. Haha. I think I need to train my brain and my fingers to aim better at the keys. =p (In spite of what you may think, I'm not a camwhore all the time. *snort* But hey, here's a thought: Maybe I subconsciously want to take pictures! Hmmm.)

The phone also comes with cute sounds for every action. I kid you not. Like... EVERY action. (I may have exaggerated a teeny weeny bit but let's not focus on that right now.) "Cheng!" comes on when you open the floating application menu. (I think that's what it's called. *gulp*) It goes "Cheet!" when you scroll. "Took!" when you exit. "Boo wap," each time you select to enter. And a super kan cheong "Ting ting!" when you make an error. Haha. I think you get the idea. But don’t worry… if you’re not that much into having a phone that makes weird noises, you can turn the sound option off.

And now, let's get
to my favourite part:
THE CAMERA!

This pretty little thing is home to an in-built 3.15 megapixel camera. So by default, that kinda means that the picture quality's gonna be good lah – DUH! 3.15 megapixel worrr. How can not good? Oh, and after trying it out, I must say, its sensitivity to light is commendable. It even allows you to play with colour effects like so:

Normal

Sepia

Black & White

Negative

Blue

Nah, show you all the colour effects
together in one pic so you can compare.

Please note that I DID NOT edit any of the pictures. Colour, composition, saturation, light and noise level are as they were right out of the phone. I just shrank them down to my regular blogpost picture size. Not too bad lah, kan? Got variety summore. Haha. In fact, I really, really like the Black & White pictures this camera takes. They're awesome!

And video quality is quite commendable, too! Movement doesn't lag quite as badly and sound quality for those within a 3 ft radius is good. There was a huge blooper when I was recording the video below. It's actually Take 2. Take 1 didn't quite make it cos... I, uh... forgot to press the Record button. Tee hee. (I know. Damn slack. =p) Anyhew, take a look for yourself!

FYI, I blew up the Blogger video to follow the dimensions of my other pictures. (I'm insanely anal that way. -_-) Otherwise, it looks like the one below.

Oh, yeah...

And I used Bluetooth connectivity
to extract the video and pictures.

And much to my surprise, it was a real breeze!

Very quick compared to what
I'm used to with my other phone.

Oh, yeah. Another cool thing I discovered about the phone was that it gives off this soft triple-beat alert whenever your phone battery's low. Even when your phone's on silent. That way, you’ll always be reminded that you need to charge its battery, no matter what. So, if you listen, hear and obey (haha), you know you’ll never find yourself needing to make a call, while being stranded with a phone that’s low on battery. Safer for girls liddat, actually. Reminders are good. Especially for forgetful ones like me. =p (I blame my constant lack of sleep. -_-‘)

But don’t worry too much about your battery dying on you lah. While on standby mode, this phone’s battery lasts quite a few days. Trust me. I tried it out. Haha. And I was pretty impressed with its tahan-lasak-ness. But with regular use ala Pam Song (read: by my super-SMS, super-cook-porridge standards), I have to charge it daily. Plus I’m too kiasi to take the risk of having my phone die on me. =p

Oh, yeah. One more thing I super like about it is that it's SUPER SLIM! Like, super super super thin that kind. (Wah! So many “supers”!) When I stuff it into my back pocket, I don't quite feel it pull on my jeans and it doesn't bulge as badly as a great many other phones. Nice!

Okay, since I know many of you aren't much into long-drawn explanations on why things are good and on what they offer (what is happening to kids these days???), I've come up with a list of technical specifications for the LGKF350 Ice Cream Phone that may come in handy for you should you want to get one for yourself.

Click on image to view in actual size.

SEE HOW NICE
I AM TO YOU???

*grunt*

That extensive list took me all of 3 hours okayyy. Dun play play. And I didn't even have a desk to work on while I was preparing it so I worked on that on my bed. Without the WACOM. (ROAR.) So... you better show me some love in the form of nice-nice, strawberry-ice-cream-sweet comments so as to make me feel like the effort I put in was worth my while. >(

Snapped this pic before I removed
the camera lens' protective sticker.

Love me!

-----------

p/s: Don't just think of it as a girl's phone.
It looks spunky on guys, too! =p

Monsters Vs. Aliens

NOTE: Worry not. Tread without fear. No spoilers here.

Left a frivolous comment on a whim and ended up winning myself a pair of tickets (out of the 30 pairs that were set to be given out) to watch the Premier Screening of the 2009 computer-animated 3-D feature film from DreamWorks Animation and Paramount Pictures – Monsters Vs. Aliens!

Courtesy of Nuffnang and their blog competition lah, summore what? Click here to view said post. The screening was held last night at TGV, KLCC. And, mind you, it wasn't just any El Cheapo Premier Screening. The movie was in THREE-FREAKING-DEE WEI! Lose the damn 3-D glasses can kena fine RM150 wan. -_-' Anyhoo...

FIRST TIME WATCHING A 3-D MOVIE!
WITH GEEKY 3-D GLASSES AND ALL!

YapThomas, Duh Roads, yours truly and MEL0dramatic.

Haha. So many exciteds.

Sorry lah, I've been a 2-D movie gal all my life. Lagging kau kau. But to tell you the truth right, I was so blur that I didn't even know it was a 3-D movie till they started handing out the glasses. HAHA. See lah. I can join a competition, win it, then not know what I competed for. Haha. Fail.

Here's the trailer:

The movie? Ok ok lah. The 3-D show-off bits (i.e. the meteorite and bouncing ping pong ball) at the beginning were fun. Thereafter, the plot lost my interest so... bleh. Awessum 3-D, but not so awessum storyline. I thought that the lead lady toon was hawt though. In a girl-next-door kinda way. (Yes, I check out toon girls. And no, I wasn't cheating on Pop Princess. She was a different kind of hot. =p)

Anyway, enough about the movie.

It's camwhore time!

I gave my extra ticket to MEL0dramatic.

Gila babi putih macam hantu. -_-

Cyclops would be soooo jealous if he saw us. Haha. And if you haven't already guessed by now, I hate flash photography. Hate hate hate it. I really do. It just doesn't work with my skin lah. And mind you, what you see here is already post-Photoshop. -_-' Sigh.

YapThomas gave his extra ticket to Duh Roads.

Duh Roads and I. This is a slightly better flash-on picture.
Even so, the Photoshopping was still damn kau. Haih.

Didn't manage a pic with Thomas himself cos the fella was sitting too far away. And in case you were wondering, this was the comment I left that won me the tickets:

Haha. Totally frivolous. But should you find yourself with an unquenchable desire to discover my posts on "Boobies", here are the links: Rihanna’s Got Funky Boobies | Boobie Size And How It Affects Brain Size | Ah Beng Jeles… Man Boobs To The Rescue!!!
