Standing At The Brink Of History

...with a blue pointer finger. =p

It's GE13, bay-beh!!!

Today's Malaysian Google doodle.

At long last, D-Day has comeeee!!!

This is my second time voting and I must say that the atmosphere is entirely different than it was the last time I voted. Back in 2008, there was hardly anybody at my polling station and I even ended up being the LONE RANGER assigned to my room. This time around? WAH! Cars parked in every available corner and the whole school was jammed packed with people sweating like stinky sardines in a can! Even so, it was very friendly, very happy, very organised chaos, if you ask me. Haha.

At the end of the day, I have zero complaints even though I left looking flushed and feeling very sweaty. The Little Man was super well-behaved throughout and didn't complain once either in spite of the crowd and supreme Penang heat! #littlepatriot #proudmom I think he was the only infant/baby/child at the polling station while we were there so he was a real hit with the aunties and – very surprisingly – the 20-something-year-old men. @_@ #newagemasculinity

Yours Truly with Mee, Dee and Baby.

Anyhew, it's so thrilling to be a part
of this exciting time in history when the fate
of Malaysia could change forever.

Is this the kali? We'll see! =D

Now, to get that damned indelible ink off my finger.

Origami Google Doodle

Today, Google celebrates the 101th anniversary of the birth of Akira Yoshizawa – the man credited to be the grandmaster of origami. Over 50,000 models created but only a few hundred documented in his 18 books. What a great loss to the art world. I wish I could help in some way but... unfortunately, I can only fold a crane, a ball, a box, and a boat. Jumping frog also forget liao. :-/

Google doodle as seen on Google.com on 14 February 2012.

But wait a minute. There's a play button!! =p

Haha. So true. Love cannot force wan.
Don't try so hard. Just be yourself. =)

Happy Valentine's Day, love birds! Go on. Give away your hugs cos they don't cost a dime; dish out kisses cos you know they never run out. It's the 14th of February so let's celebrate love today! =D

Google Celebrates Charles Dickens' 200th Birthday

Was trolling the net earlier, looking for New Girl Season 1 downloads, when I spotted this google doodle that made me go all warm and fuzzy on the inside:

So classic and nice, right?? It totally takes me back in time and makes me want to watch some romantic / enchanting / heart-warming period films like Pride & Prejudice or Gone With The Wind. =')

A Very 38 Snowflake

Haha. All 38cm of it.

Google Doodle as seen on 28 January 2012.

125 years later, Google pays tribute to the largest snowflake that was ever observed, documented and placed in the world records. (This is an attempt to show you the relevance of my snowy Christmas blog theme that's still up on the 7th day of CNY. Harhar. =p)

But first things first! Question: How could a 38cm snowflake ever possibly come to being?? Secondly, why did anyone bother measuring and recording its size? And thirdly, how could anyone ever believe the fella who said he found it!? Wouldn't the snowflake have melted by the time the world record authorities arrived??? @_@ Hmmm... #suspicious

Cool doodle though. =)

p/s: Yes, I'm back from my CNY hols and am ready to blomit (that's blog-vomit) my heart out. As soon as I get motivated enough to go through all the pictures I've snapped, that is. All 3 gigabytes of it. *faints*

A Mary Blair-inspired Google Doodle

Isn't it just so pretty, preppy and happy??
I love it! But... WHO is Mary Blair?

Well, if you grew up on a steady (and healthy) diet of Walt Disney cartoons like I did, I'm sure you'd have seen and experienced the magic of her work, for it was her pen that breathed life into Cinderella (1950), Alice in Wonderland (1951) and Peter Pan (1953), amongst other Disney works that included It's A Small World, Dumbo, Lady and the Tramp, and Fantasia. If you didn't know all this, don't worry. I didn't either. Until today's Google Doodle. =)

Not a big fan of the colours Google used
but am digging the Love Park resemblance.

Google Doodle For 8 November 2010

I no longer use the Google search page to run my Google searches so I don't often catch Google Doodles these days. I just happened to get lucky with this one. =)

Google Goes Green

Happy Earth Day, everybody!

And why am I still this perky at 11:59pm, after a long day at work? Well, it's cos I caught the latest Google doodle! Wheee!

Been meaning to blog about this all day but just couldn't find time to sneak in the 2 minutes to do it. Sigh. (It's been crazy at work like you wouldn't believe, man. Beh tahan.) Anyway, I personally don't think that this Google doodle's that great. I liked their earlier ones better. *click to see the LEGO Brick doodle and click to see this year's Chinese New Year doodle* I think the colours just don't do it for me lah. So dull! Bleh. Like so tak semangat liddat. Doesn't do Earth Day any justice whatsoever.

And if you don't know what Earth Day is all about (where have you been, yo?!), visit this website *click* for more information. You'll find this *points below* Call for Climate there.

Anybody got Badawi's mobile number?

Google Vs. Yahoo! Vs. Nuffnang

Somehow, somewhere, along the way, I got myself addicted to Google Doodles. From that time forth, I started keeping an eye out for seasonal changes in website and blog headers. (I try changing my header seasonally should my schedule permit, too.) If it's nice enough in my eyes, I blog it... so that I'll always have the JPGs close at hand no matter where I am, no matter what I'm doing... and even if my comp dies on me. (Heh. Secret's out.) Bottom line is that it's just something I do for kicks lah, okay?

So boy, did I get a pleasant surprise when I was
greeted with this *points below* sometime past midnight.

Haha. So cool, right? It's Nuffnang celebrating Saint Patrick's Day! Haha. So happening! Why they're rilling us up in celebration of the Irish's national day when most of us are either from Malaysia or Singapore, I don't know. (Why not do some semangat-Malaysia-semangat-mengundi, red-yellow-blue-white doodle instead?) But still... it's way beyond cool. Haha. I love it.

Immediately went to check
Google and Yahoo! out.

Same same.

*snore*

Pfft. B-o-r-i-n-g...

See? Nuffnang so beats Google and Yahoo! flat
this Paddy's Day. Haha. Nuffnang, you da bomb lah!

Google's CNY Doodle

Look what I just found!!!

A brand new Google doodle!

*great big toothy smile*

Sigh. Okay, fine. If you want me to be honest, I will be. It's not exactly brand new. It came out some time yesterday (maybe even the day before that *rolls eyes*) on Google, China but it wasn't on Google, Malaysia so I was dense till I read a couple of headlines on more international-ish websites. It pays to surf. You get to learn about trivial, pretty-much-useless stuff you can blog about at the wee hours of dawn. =)

I'm A Google Doodle Addict

Look at today's Google doodle!

So cool, right? Brings back so many fond memories of my childhood. My dad was my personal LEGO brick hero. He made me real cool cars and tankers when I was still a puny, little LEGO fan (and when you're a kid, that's a BIG deal). Ahh, good times.

Will do a recap of all my favourite Google doodles one of these days, okay? Just because I LOVE THEM FUNKY GOOGLE DOODLES so much!
