My 1st DIY Haircut

Yup, I did it. I finally gathered up enough guts to cut my own hair. 💇🏻 I mean, I always considered doing it myself – since I've always cut my kids and The Husband's hair – but I was just too chicken to la. Haha. Until today! How much hair did I cut? Snipped off 9 whole inches, to be exact. 😎

Yeah, I said CUT; not trim. DIY hair trimming is child's play la. I already did that back in high school. But we're in the big leagues now yo! Haha. I think I qualify for my #badassbarber badge liao la after this. Totally feel like a semi-pro hairstylist now. And totally deserving of a self-pat on the back for my self-cut. Hahaha. #syoksendiri

So how do I look after my cut??

Tadaaaa! Not too bad la hor???

I'm somewhat surprised that there's still so much length to my hair after my cut – 9 inches!!! – but this is definitely layered max. To be honest, I would have preferred a shorter cut with slightly less layers but I have zero idea how to achieve that. LOL! I just watched a YouTube video and tembak.

Me and my weapon.

Bought that silver thinning scissors from Olive Tree in Korea when I went there with The Husband end-Dec, early-Jan. Looks so pro, right? Hahaha. No regrets la, honestly. Expensive but totally worth the money. The earlier Daiso one I was using was so lousy I couldn't even thin short hair properly. It also kept cabut-ing hair out while I thinned my kids and The Husband's hair. Fail!

Not shown here is the Daiso hair scissors I used to cut off the big chunk of hair. Soooo lousy it's not worth taking a picture with it la. It took sooooo long for me to cut through my pathetically thin ponytail, man. And while I cut I was groaning with regret. Dunno if end up the cut would look like shit or not. LOL. And I don't have luscious locks to begin with, ok. If I had thick hair sure die la. Confirm cannot cut through it already.

Anyhoo, if anyone is going to Korea, please let me know! I tumpang you buy the Olive Tree hair scissors then pay you back, ok? Thank you many many!

Why now? I figured there's no better time than this to try DIY haircutting lah. Since I'm going to lose all my hair in a few weeks anyway. Might as well make the most of this experience! 💪🙆🏻🤗 #lookonthebrightside #thinkpositive

As for the hair, I'm keeping
this little bunch for memory's sake.
Because I'm sentimental like that. 🤗

#1 On The Suffering Scale

Caught a bug while at the hospital two days ago. Fever brought with it the flu which – as fate would have it – has developed into full blown sinusitis because Life's like that, right? She likes to kick you when you're down.

Sinusitis is one of those things that I just cannot tahan la. The pain that radiates from the inside of my face just steals all my energy and kills me. From the inside out. Ala Aliens. 👽 #80smoviereference But I be like Ma'am Sigourney!! I will survive!!! 💪💪💪 Eventually.

Anyway,  I look like crap now la. And I feel like crap's crap if there ever was such a thing. Told The Husband last night... In order of suffering:-

  1. Sinusitis – it totally tops the list.
  2. Cancer. 😂

FOR SALE: BMW 1 Series 118i Sport Edition (2016)

And it's time again to say goodbye
to yet another baby. 😢💔😭

I'm super heartbroken about letting the 1 Series go because I really, really, really enjoyed driving this car. It's fast and zippy. Agile during urban drives and truly effortless on the highway. The feel behind the wheel is good and there's no rolling about. Handling is top notch. Shift the car into Sport's Mode and it's like instant #BeastModeON LOL. I love it!

It's like an agile feline – quick and light on its feet – went out and met a hunk-a roaring, macho beast, had an affair and this is its love child.  😂 A driver's car, for sure. Mechanically operated handbrake. Rear-wheel drive. Just some things keen drivers will appreciate.

It's compact size makes it very easy to maneuver through heavy city traffic and makes it even easier to park. The leather seats are super comfortable – they hug you in all the right places – and they make long drives a pleasure to take. And the colour... Don't get me started on the colour. I super love it!!! I mean, who wouldn't??? Look!

BMW 1 Series 118i Sport Edition (2016).

Colour: Midnight Blue.

Regularly polished and waxed.

Always parked in the shade (basement carpark).

Rear-wheel drive – the last of its kind, making it a collector's item.

Still under full free maintenance service and warranty by BMW.

BMW LED headlamps with absolutely beautiful
daytime running light that resemble halos.

1 loving owner.

Brand new tires, changed April 2019.

A driver's car with a proper mechanically operated handbrake
– something a true driver will appreciate.
(Not shown cos my phone not wide-angle enough. 😅😂)

Less than 50,000km.

For me, it was a real pleasure to own and drive the 1 Series. I'm sure you'll feel the same way. RM120,000 negotiable. Drop me a comment if interested or send me a WhatsApp message! 😁

Can you continue to sing this to your God regardless of your situation? Cos I can. And I can because my God's plans are good, for He is good.

give you hope and a future.
