A Pink-Themed Christmas Tree & Year-End Wishes

Bought my family Christmas tree along with all its bells and whistles a long time ago during the Christmas of 2012 and it has served me well all these years. Pretty. But also pretty boring after a decade and one. So, this is the very first time I'm switching things up and giving our family tree the chance to look pink and rosy. #myChristmaswishthisyear #girlydreamcometrue #pinkfever

It's not what you'd typically find in a home with boys but, I mean... The person who dresses the tree gets to decide what it looks like, right?? πŸ€£πŸ™†‍♀️ Anyway, I've always thought of doing this – switch up one key colour every year – but I just never got around to doing it. I think it'd be a great idea in the long run to help us differentiate the years instead of just guesstimating our Christmases with the kids' increasing heights. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…

Christmas 2024 with my updated Christmas tree, Version 2.0. πŸŽ„

Anyhoo... Merry Christmas, Happy New Year,
and Happy One-Week-In-Between from
me and my little family to you and yours. πŸ₯³

The Last Fun Fling

As fate would have it, the night before my admission at the hospital for surgery the following day, I discover my extreme sport of choice – rollerblading. LOL.

Wearing my nephew's rollerblades cos they fit my Size 36 feet!

Just two aunties forgetting they're old and just doing their thang.

We had so much fun rolling around in the porch while the men and daddies talked shop. Now I can't wait to get better from my surgery so I can get me a pair of roller blades from Decathlon and go rollerblading with the kids! #coolmom #coolaunt #bokiasi Now this is exercise I don't mind doing la! In fact, I enjoyed myself so much I impulse purchased a pair of skates each for the boys from Decathlon's online store on the spot. Early Christmas presents from The Husband and I – kautim! Haha!

The Hunt For A Double Scooter

A little over a week ago, the boys went to their friend's house for a playdate. There, one tried skateboarding for the first time, while the other tried double-scootering. After that one afternoon, there was nothing else I heard about for days. Skateboard-scooter fever was ON!

Decathlon was the suggested place for us to get a good quality skateboard. Unfortunately, it's sold out online and there ain't no Decathlon brick-and-mortar store on the island. 😩 #smalltownwoes So, it looks like JZ's gotta wait till Ah Ma and Ah Kong head down to KL.

So, all I needed to get was a double scooter. And I have to get it ASAP cos I've got surgery coming! How to go scooter-hunting if I'm all bandaged up, right?? πŸ€•  Plus, I want the boys to be happily and adequately occupied while I'm in the hospital so they don't feel my absence. πŸ˜”

The first place we went to had some double scooters but they were really old, faded and dusty. I wasn't going to spend a good hundred ringgit on that. The shop lady also said she didn't want to sell those scooters to us cos she said that they were old stock. πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚  #tautakpe

The second stop... BINGO!

*choir of angels sing*

Trying out the double scooter to decide if he wanted it.

After a few rounds of butt-shaking in-store,
JJ finally made his decision – "I want!"

After discount less than RM100. Not bad la. Can tekan brake summore. Plus, it was totally worth it after I saw how happy and excited he was. 😍 #happysonhappymom

It fit in the boot so I put it there.

But all the way home,
he occupied himself by playing
with the handles and brakes quietly.

And then, it got quieter...

I turned around to check on him and discovered that he had fallen asleep! 😴 Guess the excitement of the day wore him out. But even in sleep, he hung on to his new toy all the way home.

Keith Kee "Lady in Pink" Limited Edition Masks From MODA "Pink Merchandise" 2020

#PinkOctober has taken on more meaning now that I'm a survivor. Last year, I lusted after the pretty pink broaches they were selling to raise funds and bring awareness to breast cancer through #BAZAARPinkProject2019 but didn't end up getting one because... well, I just couldn't be bothered to try while undergoing chemo. Tired la. πŸ˜ͺ

This year, however, is a different story.

Malaysian Official Designers Association (MODA) has partnered with EstΓ©e Lauder for its Breast Cancer Awareness 2020 project and 20 "Pink Merchandise" by 16 local designers have been launched.

The designers involved in this project are Ashley@kapas, Brian Khoo, Celest Thoi, Chee of GOCHEEKS, Double U by Jimmy Wong, Ellie Lim, Keith Kee, Key Ng, Kit Woo, Leslie Variyan, Lue Syn, Melinda Looi, Melson Kuala Lumpur, Stephanie van Dalen, Styled by Peter Lum and YULEZA by YouSheng.

The concept is really interesting this time around as these items are sold in Campells Soup cans in eight vending machines that are located in five shopping malls – namely, Pavilion KL, MidValley Megamall, Sunway Pyramid, Avenue K, and MidValley Southkey in JB.

Why no Penang malls??? 😩
Penang got survivors, too, maaaa...

Thank goodness last year, I happened to get to know Keith Kee through a mutual friend. πŸ₯³πŸ˜πŸ€“ So I got in touch with him and he so very kindly got his team to help me buy me his "Lady in Pink" masks! Collected them from Keith Kee Couture today. You see, you see... 🀩

Such pretty shades of pink! 😍

Based on what I can see on their FB page, it looks like "Pink Merchandise" sales via vending machines in those aforementioned malls have been extended until 15 November 2020 so, it's not too late to get your hands on these designer items that Breast Cancer Awareness, too!

Prices are RM30 or RM50 per item and a whopping 80% of all sales will be donated to four organisations, namely the Breast Cancer Welfare Association of Malaysia, Cancer Research Malaysia, College of Radiology Malaysia and National Cancer Society of Malaysia. Go support, kays!

Lasagne Vs Lazada

As the kids grow up, sometimes it gets confusing talking to them. 😐 Mainly because you assume that topics of conversation will revolve around kiddie contexts. You expect them to talk about things they're familiar with. Things they know about. Like toys and food and hobbies.

Not adolescent, grown-up things
like tech and online shopping.

JJ: Mommy, so funny just now Papa asked Kor Kor what he wants for dinner and he said “Beyblade”. 🀣🀣🀣

Pam Song: *confused* Huh? Why?

JZ: He wanted to order from his phone.

Pam Song: *still confused* Order lasagne from his phone? Why? But we’re not ordering dinner. I'm cooking.

JZ: No no, he was looking at things to buy. From that shop! The one you buy things.

Pam Song: *even more confused* GrabFood?

JZ: *getting frustrated* Nooo!! The other one! The one you always buy things! The one like that Shopee app!!

Pam Song: OH! Haiyo! It's called LA-ZA-DA! πŸ€¦‍♀️

New In RMCO Fashion

Put that mask on 😷 and play up whatever else
people can see – i.e. eyes πŸ‘️ and earsπŸ‘‚!

Me in my super comfortable
NORWEX face mask in Pink Opal.

Damn semangat with the eyeliner today so must take picture a bit. Also my first time putting on earrings again since goodness knows when. Haha. I bought this jewellery set the week after my 6th and last chemo. Decided to get something pink to celebrate surviving breast cancer and completing breast cancer chemo. Immunotherapy still ongoing until now but... ah, well. We'll celebrate that some way, some how, some day later, too. πŸ₯³ Have a great Sunday!

AliExpress & Mommy FTW!

Totally loving my AliExpress buys for the boys' room.
Veli chip, veli gud, I veli hapi! Win-win-win!

Are the boys super into space, though? Nope. They prefer dinosaurs. But it's Mommy's house so Mommy can do whatever she wants. 🀣🀣🀣 #pullingrank #thatslife #dealwithit #Ihavebettertaste

A Bump On The Head Leaves A Bunch Of Hair Dead

Dressed up for JJ’s 5th birthday today cos we’ve got some party plans later. And, if you didn’t know, a Song party means lots of pics so... OF COURSE must pasang kuat a bit la. πŸ™†‍♀️ (This is #momlevel pasang kuat. Don’t judge.) And since I’ve still got a head full of hair, OF COURSE must take lots of pics! 😎

Had to run over to TESCO to get some last minute stuff for the party and to pick up JJ’s 2nd rainbow cake this birthday prior to that. πŸŒˆπŸŽ‚ All was going well, I was happy, the kids were having a good time, I did some shopping, and then... on my way back into the car, I bumped my head. πŸ€•πŸ˜²πŸ˜±

No biggie, right? Hah! Wrong!! ❌❌❌
Not when you’re on Taxotere chemotherapy.

I immediately touched the bump site to check on things, and my heart dropped when I felt a bunch of hair that was out of place. Worse, it felt like loose hair. Read: Hair that’s NOT stuck to my head. 😳 I lightly picked at the hair and, to my horror, it came off. Like, about 10 strands of hair just CAME OFF!!! 😱 *faints*

Got home, rushed up the stairs, got into my bedroom and closed the door behind me. Made sure to lock it, too, lest I freak out the kids. Then, I carefully took off my rubber band. Jialat. Saw another bunch of hair stuck to it. Finally, I ran a comb through my hair, and faced reality – okay, today is the day alright. πŸ˜’

That’s (almost) all the hair I lost
from just one bump on the head. πŸ€•

And it wasn’t even a painful bump to begin with. πŸ˜’

So what did I do next?

I retied my hair and got on with my day. πŸ’‍♀️

7 Boys, 3 Moms & 0 Help: Part 2

If I can do this, I can do anything! Because dudes and dudettes, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls... this aunty is done with the dishessssssss!!! πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

Ok, no. Not really. After this, I gotta go
put all these out to dry on the drying rack. πŸ˜…
#amothersworkisneverdone
#aplaydatemothersworkislagineverdone πŸ˜‚

Actually, my stacking game is strong so that pic doesn't do the pile justice la. πŸ˜† #selfpraise You can't see it but there was a total of: 11 plastic bowls, 7 plastic cups, 2 mugs, 3 drinking glasses, 10 forks, 4 spoons, 1 knife, 13 jelly cups, 2 jugs, 3 glass containers with covers, 1 chopping board, 2 kitchen knives, and 1 baby bottle (for measuring syrup). *pause* Rats. When I list it out like that, it also doesn't sound like a lot. πŸ˜• Why ah?

Heck it, it was 60 items altogether!!! πŸ˜‘

This is why I shall not plan another multi-kid playdate anytime soon la, I think. Clearing up the house – okay. Washing 60 dishes – NO-kay. And this is also why I definitely need a dishwasher in my new home. Sekian.

Making A House A Home

The Husband and I have been living in KL for about 5.5 years now. (I moved back down to be with him a few months after we got married.) In these 5.5 years, I've moved a total of 4 times. Yes, FOUR. FREAKING. TIMES. πŸ˜… Crazy, right?

The first move was from Penang down to Mont Kiara in KL. 4 months later, we moved to Subang cos ugh, don't get me started on the MK jam. We lived in Subang for about 2 years then moved to our current condo. A year later, we moved down the hall to another unit in the same block of the same condo. LOL. #gila

Anyway, I've kinda unintentionally resisted setting up home in these houses cos... well, we've somewhat always talked about moving back to Penang someday. So, at the back of my mind, I thought – why put in any effort or throw in any money into a place we won't stay very long at? Doesn't make sense, right? At least that was what I thought at the time.

But now, I'm beginning to think differently.

Mainly cos my dream of moving into our own home back in Penang is very quickly becoming a reality that is always just beyond my reach. πŸ™ That one dream that still eludes me and escapes my grasp each and every time. πŸ˜” It always seems like we're making plans to head back this year. But "this year" always turns into "next year" and then "not now" and "see how". 😒 Still, it's a dream that I hope never becomes "never". πŸ™

So yes, it looks like we're here to stay for now.

It's a little of a "yay" and a little of a "nay" for me, to be honest. I've always loved being in KL because my church, my friends and my work are all here. But there's just something about having your own home, decorated with your own stuff, in your own style, with everything placed, set and done your way, that's just so deeply fulfilling and satisfying for a woman. Plus, the feeling of permanence that comes with living in your own home just makes a big difference.

Thing is, although the store room in our Penang house is filled with boxes upon boxes of MYSALE steals, Daiso buys, random decorative stuff and other kitchen knick-knacks from everywhere possible by now πŸ“¦πŸ“¦πŸ“¦ – household hoarding is my secret joy and financial Achilles heel πŸ˜… – I've not unpacked any of it. Why? Cos I've always wanted to unpack it all in my own space. Very idealistic, I know. So I've waited. And waited. And waited. ⏱

Until now. Cos... screw it lah!
I'm tired of waiting to be happy. 😀

Some of my latest buys are still in KL so I've decided to just unpack and use them NOW rather than later. It's time to make this house our home. #determined

Side table and geometric tea light holder
from MYSALE. Potted plant from SSF.

Kids organising bins from MYSALE.

I really love how easy and convenient preparing the kids for school is now that I've started using these bins. JZ's stuff are on the left half and JJ's stuff are on the right half. This includes school bags, library books, uniforms, PE attires, socks, underwear and diapers – everything in one place without me having to run in and out of the bedroom for anything before rushing them off to school. A winning buy that's totally worth the money! #score

Serving tray, wooden brain teasers and wooden tissue box
from MYSALE. Table from IKEA.

Some brain teasers in the middle of the hall to entertain the guests we're looking forward to having over now that we've integrated ourselves into our cell at SIBKL. (We ended up hosting hangout night with some cellmates 2 weeks ago.) God has really been good to us. He brought us to the perfect cell with all right dynamics, the same maturity, and the perfect psychographics for us to thrive and feel comfortable in. Yay!

Anyhoo, I digress.

Back to the subject at hand.

Tray table from MYSALE.

Glass vases from MYSALE. Photo frames from IKEA.
Lavender potted plant from SSF.

This is a difficult wall to address cos it's right next to my bedroom door. Put anything too big there and it blocks the entryway. Anything too small, and it seems odd and out of place. I can't decide if I want this setup here permanently cos it's a little low but, it'll do for now. I think the pictures help breathe a little more life into this little corner of the house, though. I'm kinda glad I decided to remove them from our bedroom bookshelf and put them out here.

Table and colourful kiddie bookshelf from MYSALE.
Table lamp from IKEA. Diffuser from Young Living.

Put these in one corner of our bedroom. (That wall was left empty before and the diffuser was diffusing from the floor.) They help make the room feel more organised, personalised and lived-in. I plan to get a 2-seater sofa and/or a work table to effectively use up the rest of the space in front of our bed. Hopefully I find something nice and cheap! Haha. SSF, maybe?

Aiya, there's more ID and sprucing up to be done once I get my stuff from Penang back to KL la. I can't wait to get to it! πŸ€— But bringing all back down is going to take a whole lotta trips up and down the North-South. Not an easy feat considering we always travel back to Penang with the kids and a helper so there's hardly any empty space in the car to begin with.

Also, filling in the little gaps around the house will require spending more money at SSF, MYSALE, IKEA and Daiso. πŸ’ΈπŸ’ΈπŸ’Έ (These seem to be the only places I shop at, eh?) You'd be surprised how much the miscellaneous things can cost! So, Imma really have to pace myself on that one lest I go broke trying. 😁

Oh well, at least I'll be a happy woman
eating white bread and plain porridge
in my very pretty home. 😝

LOLOLOL!

JZ's 4yo Logic

Was at the grocery store with JZ today when he sighted a rack of Kinder Eggs from a distance away. Uh oh. That's it lah. Well, I wasn't in the mood to resist his whining today so I gave in rather quickly. Like in-2-seconds kind of quickly. And because I also wasn't in the mood for any whining later either, I asked him to grab one for JJ, too. #oneofthosedays

When we finally got to the payment counter, I said...

Pam Song: *impatiently* Quickly choose one. The other one is Didi's.

JZ Picks both up. Shakes them. Thinks.

Pam Song: Quickly quickly. Can know meh what is inside just by shaking it.

JZ: *matter-of-factly* The loudest is the biggest. *passes the other one to me*

I didn't think of that. Good logic, Son!

Men Will Never Understand Women

Was scouring the web, doing some "browser" shopping (as opposed to "window" shopping) last night when I suddenly turned to The Husband and said:

Pam Song: *dreamily* I wish we lived in the US.

The Husband: Huh??

Pam Song: Or Australia also can.

The Husband: Wha-? *confused* Why?!

Pam Song: So I can buy stuff online from HauteLook.com – they only ship to the US, Canada and Australia. =(

The Husband: @_@ YOU WANT TO MOVE YOUR WHOLE LIFE TO ANOTHER COUNTRY FOR A... A... A WEBSITE!?!

Pam Song: Haha. You know what I mean la!

The Husband: *matter of fact-ly* No. You're mad.

Pfft. Men. My girlfriends would totally get me. -_-'''

Anyways, if you're in the US of A, Canada or Australia and haven't heard of HauteLook.com, where have you been?? You so don't know what you're missing out on, man. Now, stop reading Tinki Talks, hop on over to HauteLook.com, drool your mouth dry, and shop your eyeballs out. The deals on designer and branded goods from the US are so super unbelievably fantastic I'd kill to be where you are! If you're in the US of A, Canada or Australia, that is. Haha! =p

Listerine ZERO

Does anybody know where I can buy this particular "flavour" of Listerine in Penang? So far I've only ever seen and been able to buy it at Cold Storage, Sunway Pyramid. Nowhere else in KL/Selangor, much less in li'l ol' Penang. The usual "flavours" we find everywhere else are just too pedas for me la. I cannot tahan. Help!

iHerb – The Most Awesome Website EVERRRR!!!

Discovered the wonders of iHerb shopping earlier in the year and I've never looked back since. (If you haven't heard of it, OMG HOW CAN???) In fact, I enjoy shopping there so much that I shamefully have to admit that... I'm hooked! (I, urm... placed my fourth order this morning. =p) The stuff there are crazy cheap, I tell you. Like... totally flippin' CRAAAZY cheap. No kidding!

Here's what I ordered during
my first purchase back in March '13:

As you can see, I bought LOTS of stuff... at LESS THAN HALF the price I would find them locally, be it in-stores or online, PLUS a $10 discount off the total bill. HAH! And yes, they ALWAYS throw in a little freebie for good measure. =p Best part is it all only cost me a mere $34.64 USD.

$34.64 USD!!

DING DING DINGGG!!!

Hello, that's like, RM100 only wei!!
Crazy cheap or what???

So now, my go-to website to purchase natural baby/organic beauty/general healthy stuff from the US of A for me, my baby and my family is iHerb. Some of the stuff are actually available here but are more than DOUBLE in price at the supermarkets and on Malaysian online stores; some aren't even available here so that's uber cool, too. And at the end of the day, I pay there super cheap prices while only coughing up a surprisingly affordable shipping fee (ONLY $4 USD!!!) to get my loot right to my doorstep.

Let me give you an example of how cheap is the "crazy cheap" I'm talking about, ok. See those Munchkin baby stuff up there? (The three most colourful things in the picture that I've so helpfully made obvious for you to see. =p) I put in the work, did my research and found that babydash.com.my sells them, too. And, so you know, babydash.com.my's prices for quality baby goods are pretty much the lowest you'll find in Malaysia already. Now, look how much babydash.com.my is selling those things on discount for:

At iHerb, that rubber duckie costs $2.55 (i.e. ±RM7.50) and it's RM19.70 on discount here. That blue squeezy spoon costs $6.34 (i.e. ±RM19) and it's sold for a mind-boggling RM63 on discount here. And those colourful soft-tip spoons? They're $4.29 (i.e. ±RM13) on iHerb and a whopping RM23.90 on discount here. Haha. Crazy, huh? What's crazier is that I also got $10 off my total bill at iHerb so that effectively means I got 25.9% off whatever iHerb original price I quoted here! How awesome for me!

And now, here's where
it gets good for YOU, too. =p

If you've never placed an order on iHerb before, use my referral code – ZDT612 – and you will receive $10 off your first order of $40 USD or more like I did!! And don't fret if you haven't got that many things to buy. (Although I doubt you wouldn't when you've seen what they've got to offer. =p) You will also get $5 USD off ANY order less than $40 USD... with no minimum purchase amount! =D =D =D

Just so you know, you'll also be doing me a favour by helping me earn online credits when you use my referral code. Haha. Win-win la, right? Cos, really. It's a SUPER steal for you, too. =p Lots of quality health supplements and beauty products there as well. Not just baby stuff. Pages upon pages of everything, all at a discounted price. Can see until go blind. I see the beauty section and baby section for 3 months already still never see finish. Still scrolling. HAHA.

Bestest part of all the best parts is that now, USD is weak. So it's really the perfect timing to buy, buy, buy! So, yes. Go check out http://www.iherb.com now and don't forget to use ZDT612 when you check out so you get your $10 USD discount! Don't say I never share good things with you. =D

Referral Code for Discount: ZDT612

UPDATE AT 9:48PM ON SUNDAY, 26 MAY 2013: ARGH! I forgot to tell you one super important detail! *slaps self* Now is the PERFECT time for you to burst your iHerb cherry cos this month, they've got a special promo – "May Special: Extra 5% off for orders below $60 and 10% off for orders over $60.00! Ends Friday, May 31st, 2013." OMG, what you waiting for?? Hop on over to iHerb now!

A New Era Has Begun

Hello, pasty purΓ©e and mushy mash! I'm so not ready for a life you yet. But YET! Here we are. Face to face. Or should I say face to fruit and food? *snort* Anyhew... Today is but Day 1 and already, I miss the super convenience of exclusive breast feeding. Bleh.

As you can see from the pictures above, I put the avocado I feed my baby, JZ, through a mini sieve with a metal spoon. Why the low-tech method, you ask? Well, cos I just discovered today that my online-purchased Baby Bullet is a lousy fake and is therefore not suitable for use. UGH.

Firstly, the blender doesn't fit well and plastic shavings actually come off when I try to screw on the blade. @_@ Like, WTH kind of quality is that!? Secondly, the "bullets" smell super strongly of plastic so I highly doubt that they are BPA-free at all. That means I can't even use them for storage even if I decide to ditch the blender. RAWR. Dang you, DealMates!!

So this Baby-Bullet thing makes me a wee bit angry. Plus, I'm also a little emo about beginning this moving-on-to-solids journey, too. Sigh. I can't believe that my son will turn 6-months-old in four days. Where did my baby's infant days go?? How did they fly by so quickly?! How dare Time go by without my consent?? I'm not emotionally ready to start the weaning process yet!!! Boo hoo... T_T

Ok, enough with the ranting. Now, it's time
to be the proud parent and show off. Haha.

JZ scoffed down the avocado like a champ! With no mess, too! Planned on giving him one tablespoon only but he wanted more so I ended up giving him a little over two tablespoons altogether. Almost a quarter of the whole avocado! Haha. So tham jiak! If he continues eating like this – fingers crossed – I don't think we'll have a problem with baby mealtimes. =p

The Emo-ness Of It All

I miss my parents. I miss the careless abandon of being the baby of the family. A daughter and child to parents who love me selflessly. I miss living my days without the overshadowing responsibility of being the dutiful wife and doting mother to the respective members of the little family I have to call my own now.

I miss having a proper job. One that pays well enough to (almost) justify working me to the bone. I miss earning a living for myself. I miss having a paycheck to look forward to every month. I miss looking to my right or left and seeing an actual person working on a comp next to me instead of having to Skype or FaceTime. And I miss having colleagues I can talk to face to face and have lunch with.

I miss having friends. I miss spending time with them. I miss chill-out sessions and girly hangouts over cakes and cups of tea. Shopping and gossiping like we shouldn't, while laughing and creating memories like we totally should.

I miss shopping. Real shopping. Without a deadline or a budget. Without a shopping trolley alongside rows and rows of toilet paper, floor cleaner, cereal or organic vegetables, too. I miss shopping with both hands free to pick out clothes and try them on. I miss hitting the malls before lunch and going home after dinner.

I miss wearing clothes that fit and flatter. As opposed to always having to resort to loose tops that serve no purpose other than to keep me covered up well enough to also be able to uncover in a flash and breastfeed my son whenever he so demands.

I miss sleeping soundly through the night. To just relax my body and mind for more than a couple of hours' stretch at a time. To sleep without having to wake up at the slightest whimper, stir or cry. To be able to stretch out my arms and toss and turn and do somersaults in bed without worrying that I could unknowingly crush and flatten my sleeping 4-month-old lying next to me.

I miss waking up feeling refreshed and recharged to face a brand new day. Instead of feeling sluggish and fatigued like I usually wake up feeling so very often these days. I miss snuggling under the covers and snoozing just a couple of minutes, and yet a couple of minutes more, after I first open my eyes, to begin with.

I miss having time to blog. Whenever about whatever. I miss sharing my thoughts, telling random tales, and logging my days. I miss reading comments from my regulars and replying those comments as quickly as they come in. I miss the closeness of the online community I once enjoyed and was once a part of.

Goodbye Gift Pack

Went out for a 'goodbye' lunch with reader-turned-friend, Lissa (she's the one leaving; not me =p) and to my ultimate shame, she got me a gift instead.

*facepalm*

But oh what a gift it was...

AESOPPPPPP!!! =D =D =D

I guess it really pays to know people who know people. =)

----------------

Dear Lissa,

Thanks for E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G.
Next time around, I'm stuffing RM50 notes
into my jeans' back pocket for quick access. =p

Having said that, have a safe journey ahead
and be sure to have a blast playing with needles,
as well as cutting into people and stitching them
back up again in Sarawak! =D

XOXO,
Pam Song

p/s: Maybe you'll grow to enjoy Sarawakian coffee. =p

Not Such A Failure After All

Durning the last weekend of confinement (and just a couple of days before Christmas), The Husband and I sneaked out for a couple of hours to do some super speedy last minute Christmas shopping. Seriously lah. With our performance that afternoon, I think we could have qualified for The Amazing Race. Haha. It was in and out – CHOP CHOP! Not my favourite way to shop for gifts in the least but... oh well. Bo huat. At the end of the day, all that matters is that we managed to get all the gifts we needed for the VIPs in our lives. No I.O.Us. =)

Our outgoing Christmas gifts this year.

I hope you guys had a lovely Christmas with lots of presents (and turkey and fruit cake and pudding and pie), too. Now, it's time to reflect and be thankful for 2012... and look forward to all that the New Year has to bring and prepare for an awesome-er 2013. Woo hoo! =D

Failed Santa

You guys know how much I love Christmas, right? Well, this year, with the baby on hand, Christmas seems to be the least of my priorities. To be honest though, I really should have (could have?) been more prepared. I mean, it's not like I didn't know a baby was on the way, right? Haha.

But seriously lah. I really thought I would have (should have had!) more time to shop for gifts. Unfortunately, before I knew it, I was put on bed rest 30 weeks into my pregnancy and, with that, went my Christmas shopping plan. Straight out the window. -_-'''

Therefore, I confess that I
am incompetently organised on the
gift-giving front this Christmas.

*shame-faced*

That was all I managed to get before I got
shipped back to Penang, and strapped to the bed. :-/

So... urm, dear friends and loved ones...

Anybody care for love and peace
in place of gifts this year? =p

Sentimental

Sometimes, it's not the price tag, or the size, or the type, or the grandness of the situation that matters. It's the value you put to the memory that comes with the item you hold dear that makes all the difference. And sometimes, sentimental journeys are what keep you holding on to whatever it is you have that you treasure – be it a useless ticket stub from a first date, a fond memory from a time past, or a precious family heirloom dusted in nostalgia – instead of considering it all naught and moving on to bigger, better, greater things that come your way.
