I'm tickled.
I know I haven't exactly been on top of things of late, when it comes to the upkeep and maintenance of Tinki Talks. Have just been really busy (more like totally overwhelmed) with stuff at work so... that kinda automatically means (1) no more 6-posts-a-day-styled blogging, (2) no more deep thoughts or artificially intellectual monologues, and definitely (3) no more self-answered rhetorical questions.
But then I caught sight of this just minutes ago.
Haha. Thrilling.

– I was told that it's got nothing to do with readership... or something of that sort. And I don't have that many readers. Not uniques. Most of my readers are returning visitors. The nice ones whom you always see on my comment pages. =p

I guess for the American market its a big thing, they don't have 'access' to software like us Malaysians. I think most savvy Malaysian PC users would have access to photoshop CS3 and know how to use it in Malaysia.
Over there in the US, the average user would only have access to photoshop elements at most. So, a free version that is online and easy to use would be a bonanza for them.
I think a lot of Flickr users would consider switching to it as it also provides 2G hosting service.

I think another plus side is to edit pictures on the move. Their Adobe Express is flash based so in theory it should work on mobile internet devices. You wouldn't need a laptop which meets photoshop hardware requirements.
If you have a PDA, you could theoretically edit your photos and post it online. No more having to carry around a 3KG laptop.
Facebook and blogging addicts would love it, you could edit photos in a bus; in the toilet; and while at a concert.
Anyway, wouldn't it be nice to finally use a legit software? When ever people ask how you did that photo effect... shy only want to say photoshop because tak halal one.

1) KISS, kennysia.com is simple, xiaxue is too complex for me.
2) has a good writer-reader interactivity, pinkpau interacts with her readers readily, nicolekiss used to, but not anymore
3)and of coz, interesting entries, either good writing skills, or interesting topics/issues being blogged
tinkitalks scores Aces for #1 & #2, and an A- for #3. :) my honest opinion. that's why i'm a regular. plus, of coz...she's pretty darn cute. :P
piracy....sigh. programmers and movie makers should bring down their prices drastically. the sales volume would make up for the narrowed profit margin.

But it's true. Being able to churn out nice pictures WITHOUT a personal comp with Photoshop IS good for a journalistic blogger. I tested out the functions. They make photoshopping so simple!!! Click here, click there, tada! Done. Only you have less control lah. But... Good enough for blog pichas.
Honestly, I have a PDA but I don't use it. My dad's a tech junkie and he's got all the gadgets lah. But... I just didn't grow up a fan of all that. I love my laptop and I think if I have to choose between carrying it around or editing pichas on my PDA, I'd go for the former. A bit old school lah me. -_-

I just when through the website's technical specs. Looks like photoshopexpress runs on flash player 9. PDA's only run up to flash player 7, even then this is beta only.
So no editing on photoshopexpress on PDA anytime soon. Still need a laptop for it.
Have a PDA but don't use it? What model, I'm looking to buy one too. I saw O2 Atom Exec for sale at RM1099 only. Would be a nice to have around while I'm waiting. Can surf internet.
