Google Rawks

Not.

Was looking for a Bible verse via Google. So as to make things easier, I ran a search with the keywords "God be with us", thinking it'd give me what I was looking for in half the time it takes me to flip through a hardcopy. Well, it appears that I used the wrong keywords cos in 0.21 seconds, this was what dear Google pulled up...

WHAT!?! That?!
As the FIRST result to match my search!?

Sigh.

*shakes head*

That's it lah. Humankind has so
run itself into the ditches of Hell.

There's so much smut on The Net that it gets sickening just looking at the amount of trash web-surfers allow themselves to absorb these days. Take a look at the hottest posts on Innit (a tool developed and hosted by Nuffnang to drive additional traffic to any exclusive Nuffnang blog, effective 13 January 2008) and you'll see that the posts with the most Nangs (the replacement term for 'Vote' on Nuffnang) are those with lewd, suggestive, pervy, borderline-vulgar headlines.

What's with that? Tell me cos I don't get it.
Are pervy headlines really that nang-worthy?

How is Panty! Panty! Panty! a headline? It seems more like an orgy war cry if you ask me. Or maybe it's a sex chant aborigines use at a female coming-of-age ceremony. (Oh, wait. I forgot. They don't wear no panties.)

And what about headlines like Check Out My Sexy Sister! Gosh. The things people do to increase their blog traffic. This make us no better than animals who leave their cubs as bait, okay. AND BLOODY HELL, EVEN ANIMALS DON'T DO THAT!!! So that kinda makes us WORSE than animals, no? Sigh.

Oh, and don't get me started on Porn Stars Galore or Click To See The Latest Malay Porn Star headlines. Sure, curiosity will get you your readers but is this really all you blog about? Porn stars?! Gosh, there really isn't anything else that interests you, huh? No deep thoughts or occasional pondering? Nada? Hmmm, that kinda makes you a pervy dimwit. And I don't especially enjoy reading what pervy dimwits say.

The bottom line is this:

I'm just baffled by the amount of interest
these decadent headlines garner lah.

And half the time, it's just a headline! The post behind the said headline sometimes even has zero connection to it. Talk about being scammed into reading, man! So potong steam! (Not that I read that kind of stuff lah, of course. *angelic smile and glowing halo*) A headline should scream the most important point in your post or at least give us readers an overview of what you have written before we dive into the mess of paragraphs and words... NOT deceive us into nang-ing something that's badly written and/or sick in the head.

I've had my say. I shall close with this:
Google is an inaccurate search engine.

Now, I think I've pissed enough bloggers off so I'm just gonna make my move and run before I get hit by piss-soaked tissue balls. I heard that morons make pretty good shots. *grin* Ciao!

Honestly I can't stand it and i find it almost degrading to some extent.. are some ppl really keen on some just mindless post? With such headings that pervertish? Why does those kind of thoughts have to sell? Like so...

January and 40 posts++. haha..

Well, headlines usually do attract people to read. Guessed people are just plain traffic dependent rather than blog contents.

– Haha. Whoops. I find it hard to contain myself sometimes. =p

My best wishes to humanity. Haha. May they survive my talking.

Glad to know you liked the 'orgy war cry'. Haha. I laughed while I wrote, too. =p

ATTN: Abby
– Well, granted. But doesn't that tell us what increases traffic? It shows us what the world demands now. And that tells me that we're living in a sick sick world.

ATTN: luxen
– Haha. I like the way you put it - 'nice words'. =p

ATTN: Aronil
– *cough* I'm not a prude either. *cough*

*grin*

– Haha. Sorry lah. I think a lot. Can't help it. =p

And yeah. I agree that headlines attract people to read. But it kinda sucks when you read and you realise that the headline was just a ploy to get you to stop by and has remotely nothing to do with the post altogether.

i heard that more than 70% of the web contents are preverted, but the first result that came out from your search was totally unrelevant. 'shit...'

– It's terrible lah. And it's worse when demand MEETS supply.

just wondering whether you've heard of "rule 34" :p

Pam Song said...

Ooo. You know what? That actually sounds pretty, uh, interesting. Haha. Do share! =p

k0k s3n w4i said...

rule 34 states that, "if it exists, there's a porn version of it". Look it up on encyclopediadramatica.com xD

Pam Song said...

Wah! Haha. Liddat also can? I read it di. Haha. Amazing. But it's true lah. If it exists, somebody will undoubtedly pornify (is there even such a word?!) it.
