P.I.N.K

This post is dedicated to 2007's
worst supposed-to-be-a-little-scary
horror-comedy-musical EVER...

...Men In White.

"PINK! I liiike! Kill meee!"
(to be said with little fingers up in the air
and with elbows close by your sides)

Don't bother with this one. Really.
Just take my word for it. Don't go.
I've included movie posters for your reference.

Just so you know which movie to avoid.

Hey, "man in white" not that good meh? Did you watch "just follow the law"? Are u a fan of Singaporean directors? Many may not know that they are actually way in front of us in terms of movie/ series production. There are few good ones, like "Mee Pok Man", "12 storeys", all about social problems.

And may I know where are you working now? You sound like you are working for a magazine. Whoever that hired you, that is a lucky person. A talented writer who has lots of passion for everything in life, writing. Gosh. Well, of course, I'm making all your friends green with envy! :D

But actually, after my HR kept your application form, I don't have your contact number anymore. But I guess I can think come "kepoh" as an old aunty in your blog.

Hmmm. I didn't like it lor. Too lame. The lamest I've watched this year by far. Really. Thank goodness it was movie day. But even at RM7, I felt that it was a total rip-off. Haha. Regret kau kau.

I don't mind the funny Singaporean dramas. Liked Money No Enough, Best Bet, I No Stupid 2 and all that. Those by Jack Neo. He's really good. Do you watch his stuff?

I missed Just Follow Law! Sniff. Everybody said that it was soooo good. Haih. Wasted only. My parents bought the DVD so I'll definitely watch it someday. Who knows? I may blog about it. =p

I'm with an advertising agency in KL, not a magazine. Haha. I didn't apply for any publication or press houses. Let's hope they think of me the way you do. =p And yes, I LOVE writing! Haha.

Ooo. You don't have my number? Haha. I've got yours, though. I can sms you mine. Or you could just leave your email add and I'll email you so you have my email add as well. =)

Oh yeah, I love Jack Neo's stuff too! Simple execution on deep message. I think I watched almost all of his work. And I even kepoh enough to write to Mediacorps to tell them how much I appreciated their series like "Holland Village" & "Stepping out", and of course, Jack Neo's movie too. Damn kepoh right? HaHa! But I just thought that they should know how much they are appreciated. And ha, Mediacorps actually replied my mail. "Just follow law", yes nice, with that twist. Ada oomph.

Oh, ad agency in KL, must be an international then.

Hey, all your cool friends sure would be wondering where this aunty come from. Never mind, as long as I'm a cool aunty. "perasan sangat".

Yeah, you can sms me your number. And of course you can have my email address. sammyscopy@hotmail.com

Oh, I have this bond with S'porean movies because I married a singaporean. Yeah, yeah, that's why.

Have you watched any of our local indie movies? Like Ho Yu Hang's "Rain dogs", Tan Chui Mui's "love conquers all"? And Yasmin Ahmad's "Rabun", "Sepet", "Gubra", "Mukhsin"? It's all heart wrenching, yet heart warming. And you'll start asking lots of questions. It's like reading Milan Kundera's work. Sometimes I'm afraid I'll be khi siao! :)

Just in case you missed yasmin's past work, her up and coming one: "muallaf".

OK, wait ah, after I watch Man in white, I'll tell you how I feel about it. Now I'm busy watching "The Soprano". Meaningful. There's message between the line.

Yes, I'm siao one.

Now you feel lucky right, you are not working together with me. Ha!

Haha. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who doesn't laugh at Jack Neo's stuff. He's really funny but the cultural values that he discusses are clearly seen. There are many of his movies that I haven't watched. Lagging a bit.

*blush*

But wow. You're a true blue Jack Neo fan, eh? Haha. So terror. Even write to Mediacorp. Haha. Maybe I should try that someday.

Ooo. No wonder lah. Who cares if your body is in Malaysia? Singapore has your heart! Haha.

I watched Sepet and Gubra. Missed the rest. Sad, I know. I actually like the older-feeling international movies, too. Like Jasmine Women and The Long Road Home... all that. Makes you think cos there are so many social issues being raised in that one movie. But it's good. It's very close to heart. The people don't say much but their expressions and what they go through says a lot.

Haha. Yes yes. Go watch Men In White. Just to get a taste of what I saw. Haha.

Yeah, the company I'm working with is international. It's McCann. Didn't wanna say it here cos I don't publish private information online (that's why even my pictures are faceless). =p But then I thought to myself, "Not like other ppl know also lah." Many haven't even heard of the company. They only know the other big firms in other industries. Sad to say, advertising isn't a much talked about subject. Haha. Weird when actually, it's these companies that make all the other brands famous. =p

Haha. My cool friends. Haha. I have cool friends?! HAHAHA. They'll kill me if they read this. Haha.

Okay, I'll sms you my number. Will do it tonight. As for my email add, I'll sms that along, too. Easy. One shot.
