This episode happens to be Grey's Anatomy's
one-hundredth episode and... wow. Just... wow.

Meredith and Derek are set to be wed. And since Izzy's got cancer (lots of tumours, lots of cutting, lots of chemo), they've gotta push up the wedding so she "makes it". Ah, but Izzy's got nothing else to do than lie on a hospital bed, right? So she assumes the role of wedding planner to Meredith and Derek. Thing is, as the episode moves along, we see her gradually lose her strength. Even so, she's remains gungho over the wedding and is determined to make it to the church to witness the wedding she planned.
And that's just one side of the story.
The other side concerns Karev – Izzy's boyfriend.
The man's a wreck because everything points to her dying no matter what they do to try and save her. He cries in this episode when talking to Meredith about news of Derek and Bailey discovering another tumour in Izzy's brain that's too small to be operated on. In that conversation with Meredith, Meredith tells him of an idea Derek proposed to her (that she bought, of course). And before you know it, it's Izzy playing the bride instead of Meredith. (They swapped dresses – tight-fitting wedding dresses. Pfft. How the heck do you swap wedding dresses?! Izzy's so voluptuous and Meredith's so... Meredith – how!? Bluff wan.) Karev, of course, plays the groom, not Derek.
