First Kiss

First Times don't come by very often.

Your first relationship. The first date. The first time you hold hands. Your first kiss. Your first fight. The first time you make up after. Your first monthiversary. Then first anniversary. Ahhh, life's generous with first times when you're young. But the thing about Youth is that it doesn't come with Foresight. Or Maturity. So we fail to appreciate those First Times we've been given when they happen, for what they really are – rare, innocent, and so very precious.

Yep, First Times don't come by very often.
And the older you get, the less they appear. :-/

– Hahahaha. Oh trust me, it wasn't as sexy as it sounds. Not so much fire. More like... betrayal and disgust. HAHA.

Then, doesn't it sound like you got rob of your first kiss? =P

Nways, there's too many first-things around, instead of becoming rare, it becomes a burden to remember all those - Love at first sight (date&time), first smile (date when first gaze upon his/her sparkling smile that melts the heart), kiss (details on how he/she smelled like, and the environment around), fight (the silly reason, and how it lead to another, before it became a fight), make up (what made it more special than normal times), anniversary (gifts presented and words uttered over the occasion), first set of jeweleries (date of occasion, and what it means), first name (to an unborn child they agreed on), first mutual savings together (the starting value in their first mutual savings account), etc...

OMG I'd to carry a thick notebook around all the time!

What a beautiful post. I think I am tempted to add your blog in my blogroll ! (I am still trying to learn to simplify and declutter, I am SO new at blogging !) I had already asked you a question under another post, but then I saw it was really old, like from 2008, so I hope you don't mind if I ask you here agin, even if it's a bit off topic (IT actually COULD be on topic too if you thing of Mr. Charles M. Schultz's "Peanuts" cartoon series Lucy, who charged people like 5 cents for a kiss or 10 cents for psychological advice...I just LOVE "Peanuts" !) So here 's my question !

I am trying to do the same thing but I have no clue how much to ask for rent for adspace on my blog, plus I DO NOT want to clutter my blog with ads, I would prefer like choosing a couple only to advertise like for 2 weeks, then another couple of ads for the next couple of weeks, and so on. So I had no one to ask, I asked you because I saw you have nice people in your blogroll. Thank you.

P.S. I have just opened a bnew blog in wordpress, but I am not so enchanted with it, I really like YOUR blog on blogspot, i wonder what do YOU think, is blogspott better than wordpress, if you give me a good reason or idea, you may just SWAY me to change my mind and open my new blog on blogspot instead of word press ! Your answere might make a DIFFErence ! Who knows...just like that LAST ONE vote that they say can change the outcome of an election, or like that "butterfly effect" if one thing changes...then the whole FUTURE changes ! LOL ! Don't take it so seriously, I was just kidding, it's just that I am so new at blogging, that's why I am asking myself so many QUESTIONS ! What should I choos ? Am I choosing right ? What if it is a mistake ? ETC. It's in a way, I think...like WEDDING jitters ? Isn't it ?! (Not meaning to imply anything personal, of course, I was trying to be a little funny, but I am not really TALENTED at writing funny really...kinda' pathetic, isn't it ?!)

– Totally robbed, I tell you! Hahahaha.

And you so jaded lah. You know why you think it's a burden? Cos it's not something you WANT to remember WILLINGLY. I'm talking about things you "never forget". Not things you "want to remember". Slight difference there, Jeffro. Like... I don't purposely remember my first kiss. But I whenever I walk pass the place it happened, I remember. And I smile. I remember the lighting. I remember the feeling. Not cos I made myself remember. But cos I just never forgot. The date? Who cares? It's the power of the experience behind the first times that matter.

– Haha. Thanks, roamsk! Glad you liked this post. =) And... I saw your earlier comment on that 2008 post, too. But I'll reply you here.

I based my adspace rental on what I thought I should earn. Perhaps you can do the same. Of course, the final total will still depend on your Google Page Rank, your readership, and your click-through ratio. But as always, Perceived Value can always be deemed as Monetary Value so... even if your readership isn't soooo high, you can always price it based on the QUALITY of your content.

I decided on offering no more than 2 adspaces at a time. Those interested (should that number be exceeded) were expected to wait their turn. Haha. Simple as that.

As for the Wordpress vs Blogspot platform, I personally prefer Blogspot. I've tried Wordpress and in fact, I still have my Wordpress blog active. But I didn't quite like the publishing platform, the post formatting and the style.

Plus... if you're not one to mess with HTML codes and all that, Blogspot gives you the easy way out. A lot of the codes are automated so there's very little tinkering involved. Simplicity is the name of the game and I appreciate the ease of 1-click designs, especially with my busy work schedule.

If you want it easy, go with Blogspot. Anyway, considering it's owned by Google, there's very little chance you could lose your posts or experience server downtime. =) Plus, I particularly like the fact that Blogspot and Google are in ONE company and only ONE login ID is required.

Hope this helped! =D
