But then again, e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g's different.
You talk about the future and for once, it actually isn't "just talk"; it's plans waiting to happen. You continue to check that "Single" box; but every time it gets a tick, is just another time you get further away from "Single" and closer to the "Married"*. And the best part of it all is that when you're engaged, "goodbyes" become temporary and you start looking forward to "goodnights" before bedtime and "good mornings" after sunrise. =)
* You know, I was just thinking about it... And unlike any other box in "Marital Status" – be it "Married", "Divorced" or "Widowed" – the "Single" box is the only box you can never ever go back to. Funny huh? You can go from married to divorced or widowed, and then back again to married – rinse, rewind, repeat. But you can never back to being single! It just kinda shows you how significant getting married really is and how important it is to find the right person to get married to when it comes to the whole scheme of things.

hmmm.. I thought being engaged means it makes you nervous/excited/anxious on whether to put "Single" or "Married" 'cause technically "Engaged" is the in between of single and married.. more to married, just that you haven't gone through the ceremony, exchange of vows, big celebrating feast, huge toast, and so on... hahaha =P

– Hahaha. No lah. Legally you're still single so you still check that "Single" box.
Hahaha, I think it's time the system include "Engaged" and "In a relationship" too! =P
