Buyer's Remorse

But not cos I bought something I shouldn't have.
More like, the total opposite. Haha.

You see, after rushing all over London Heathrow trying to get our VAT back, I somehow managed to spot a pretty, white Longchamp in the distance. And that was while The Husband and I were in mid-run to get to our boarding gate (multi-tasking, bay-beh =p) cos we were already late and were way past boarding time. (Story of my life with airports and flying. -_-''')

Anyway, I didn't really get to see the bag up close. All I knew was that it was white with what looked like brightly-coloured embroidered designs on a black tree-looking thing. Well, today, I finally got to really see what it was like. And I kinda like it. Even though it has birds on it.

And now, I kinda regret not going over to London Heathrow earlier to sneak in some airport duty-free shopping time. Dang. Should have done that and just gone ahead and bought this bag while The Husband and I were in London on our honeymoon. Although oddly, we didn't see this at any of the other Longchamp counters or flagship stores. Old season design, perhaps? :-/

p/s: In hindsight, I think I still prefer my other Longchamp. =)

This one has been around for some time. I like this one A WHOLE LOT when I saw it. Seeing it again now, I think that I still like it A WHOLE LOT. :p

I can identify with that... Not buying something I should, and regretting it. ~.~

Saw a pair of amazing diamond earrings at Tomei, but wasn't willing to fork out the price they were asking. Went back there a few months later and they had been sold. =/

– WAH, YOU SHOPAHOLIC, YOU! How you know?? There isn't even a Longchamp store in Penang! (Or is there?)

ATTN: Lissa
– This is why impulse buying shall always be a girl's best friend. =p

Two Melissas in one comment. Thank goodness the other Melissa didn't comment. Hahaha.

Melissa said...

Penang got no Longchamp store. Or else, I would have been broke sooner. :p HAHA. Research, baby, research! ;)

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– Actually... I never took you for a Longchamp fan. @_@ Since when ah?? Haha. You're way worse than me, man. Hahaha.

Melissa said...

HAHA. Since, early last year. Saving up for one! Woohoo! :D At least I lust with my eyes only, didn't commit the sin yet. :p

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– Wah... happening. Big plans, eh? Hahaha. So which one are you aiming for?

Melissa said...

I like your grey one! A. LOT. I was planning to get that for myself this Christmas. And, alas... YOU. GOT. IT! Hahaha. When I saw your post, I couldn't believe my eyes. We have same taste! Woots!

I like the above white one also, but it's white and I'm clumsy. So, not a good call to get it. But, it's so pretty!

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– Really??? Hahaha. Whoops. So which one are you aiming for now?

Melissa said...

Really and seriously. If anything, it means that you and I have great taste. :D

Hahaha. I saw one which looked like it's quilted but it's not in white at uni today. And, it looked good. But the black one looks quite 'aunty'. :(

Can't come to a conclusion on which I should get. SUGGESTIONS?! :D

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– Haha. True dat. And.. a quilted Longchamp? Which one?? I tink the next one I'll get will be one of those simple black or dark brown ones, actually. But not the foldable ones. The thicker type. I dunno the material. Anyway, I want something I won't mind putting down on a kopi tiam table. Having a nice, felt one is kinda stressful. Slave to the bag instead of having it work for me. -_-'''

Hmmm... maybe you should get the black one with feathers. I saw that one at the store. It's kinda sexy. I actually thought it looked ok. Even though I hate feathers. They're not real feathers anyway. More like leather cutouts.

Or you could get the full leather ones. Those are more expensive but I guess considering it's leather, you'll have more wear in it.

Melissa said...

The leather ones are EX! But, they're nice. I likes! Eh, we talk talk talk so much about shopping, we should have a shopping AND dinner date next time. ON OR NOT?!

Yes, the feather one is kinda sexy; you're right.

Right right? When it's too pretty, you have gotta be uber careful with it. If I were to get this white one, I would probably go out with it cling wrapped. :p

This is the one I was talking about: http://www.longchamp.com/en/lm-women-255.html - Reference : 1899510 - Colour: Steel. :)

ATTN: Melissa
– We bought a red leather one for my MIL when we were in London. You're right. Damn ex. Haha. But worth it considering it's leather, I suppose. Still cheaper than some other luxury brands.

I think feather one is the next best bet.

Eh, that site is a flash site lah. You send me link liddat cannot see wan. Screenshot and email lah! Haha.

Ons. Shopping and dinner next time. Haha. I'm desperate to go out and spend money. Being stuck at home all day every day for 3 weeks is no joke, man. -_-'''

Melissa said...

But, leather at my age? Gonna make me look old, no? But yes, relatively cheaper compared to other luxury brands. When the both of you were in Paris, didn't you go check out Louis Vuitton? :p

Feather sounds pretty good. Saving, SAVING, SAVING!

I emailed d!!! I saw it in white but I don't know why it looks like silver. I sent you two emails. Go look! :D

ON-S! You come down or I go back? PG got no Longhchamp. HAHA. Oh, I can imagine your desperation. Hehehe. :p

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– True, true. Aiya, buy cheaper one now. Then upgrade to leather when you actually start working. Or get promoted. Or get a bonus. =)

Yeah, I went to the big fat LV on Bond's. SO FREAKING EXPENSIVE!!! One purse cost more than our return flight tickets tickets there!

I think easier when you come back. If I go down, usually very busy running here and then. Unless I'm down there permanently lah.

Melissa said...

Yeah yeah yeah! Buy the cheaper one now, later on baru upgrade. :)

HAHAHA. I'm told LV does not have price tags. Is that true? So far, I haven't walked in to one just yet. I'm tempted to enter the one at Gardens but I always feel under-dressed. One day, I shall glam up AND THEN walk in, only to smell the air within and browse. :p

Okays! When I balik, we have whole day marathon. Shopping, movie and meal. Deal? :D Btw, any plans to come down permanently? :)

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– Got lah. LV got price tags. That's how I knew how much the purse cost. You think I asked? Haha. Dun have Signature Card dare not open mouth in that store lah, friend. Hahaha.

But to be honest with you, the peeps at LV, London were super nice. So pleasant, helpful and polite. Much much nicer than the folk at Burberry (which is cheaper).

Haha. Whole day? Whole day meaning meet for lunch then finish up with dinner lah ok? Don't expect me to do anything before noon. HAHA.

And there's talk of going down but... as always, it's talk lor.

Melissa said...

HAHAHA. The ones here in KL, they are quite arrogant.

The peeps at Coach Sunway P are horrible. They eye you up and down when you walk in. Hmmmm, those Burberry folks think that they're all that.

YES, after lunch definitely. Our friendship has taken on a whole new level; seeing that we are so not morning people. AFTERnoon is always the best time for outings. That's right - lunch, shopping, tea, shop some more and then dinner. Maybe supper too. :p

COME. DOWN. LA! :D

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– The Coach Gurney Plaza folk are SOOO nice! I went there the other day and they were sooo pleasant and sooo helpful! Dunno about the Sunway Pyramid one though. I've actually never been a fan of Coach so when I walked into the Gurney store, that was the first time I visited a physical Coach store. @_@ Haha.

And cools! Lunch, buy movie ticket, shop, watch movie, tea, shop summore, dinner, karaoke (???), supper. WALAUUUU... my husband disown me man!

Melissa said...

GURNEY PLAZA HAS COACH?! So happening already lo Penang! I USED to like Coach, and then I found that their designs are a little old.

HAHAHAHA. We go on the days that your hubby is not in. Wait... He's not in only on weekdays, which means that you have work. Which also means that lunch is a no-no. And, I feel bad of robbing you away from quality time with The Husband. Later, he say that I am a bad influence. :p

Maybe we should do early dinner (if you can leave work at 6pm sharp, shopping, movie/karaoke, supper. :D

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– Yeah. Penang damn happening now ma. You dunno meh? Haha. Coach designs are... improving, I must say. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. I always saw the ones my friends carried and never thought twice about them. But now I realised... ok lah. Not great. But not bad either.

And yeah... the early dinner plan as per usual is better lah, I think. At least for now. Unless I'm down in KL. Then the world is my oyster. Haha.

Melissa said...

Since when was Penang happening? Come on, don't give credit where it is not due. :p

Maybe when I am in my 30-s, I'll consider Coach. Not at the moment though. ;)

Same ol', same ol', AGAIN. =_=

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– Eh... Penang not so bad now wat. Kanasai you. Kacang lupakan kulit, man!

And Coach has a few ranges. The younger, executive looking ones are not too bad. Just don't buy the ones with the Coach logo splashed all over it. That wan super aunty. Haha.

Same ol' is good wat. We're all creatures of habit. =p

Melissa said...

HAHAHAHAHA. :p I wanted to test your loyalty, woman. Penang is always the best, when it comes to food. Penang food, FTW!

Yeah, yeah, yeah! SUPER-DUPER aunty! Like, fail to the maksima, man!

Okays, same ol' same ol' then! I miss our girly time. :( You misses it or not?

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– Urm, I actually like KL food. =p

I haven't really been thinking about girly time of late. Haha. Especially since I'm under house arrest. I want to go all the way – as in far far away that requires passports – or just stay in my room. Haha.

Melissa said...

Seriously?! I tried Sri Nirwana's banana leaf at Taipan on Sunday. It's pretty good. :)

Eeyer... So no motivation. Fail!

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– Kanna is the only way to go lah. Go there for banana leaf rice!

Haha. I think I need a holiday. Like a real one where I just leave everything behind.

Melissa said...

I don't know how to go there. Later hilang. I got no GPS. My dad refused to get me one because he said that if he were to get it for me, I would drive up all the way to Genting. That man knows me too well! =_=

Haha. Come down to KL, for a weekend. We go eat anything you want. :D

We should plan something, like December. Let's go to SG for a weekend! :D

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– Noooo... Do you know where the Rothmans Roundabout is? Or where it used to be? It's right around that corner.

Eh, woman. There's a reason I haven't gone to Singapore in awhile. And it's not cos I can't find kaki to go. I have friends there. My problem is not being able to get away!

Melissa said...

HAHAHA. I don't know where that is. Still a rookie la, babe.

Ish... We should do a getaway. Sounds fun. Or, even a road trip. Haven't had a proper one for some time already. :(

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– Haiyo you ah. Ok lah. You un-rookie-fy yourself first.

Hahaha. Day trip lah. Day trip I boleh. =p

Melissa said...

Hahaha. I've been here less than a year. Haven't done much poking and nosing around, yet. :p

Okays! I'll be back whole of December. Plenty of time to do day trip. :D

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– Too bad we're not in KL. Malacca would have been a good day-trip location. Boo. Maybe we should take a boat to langkawi. DUTY FREE BAY-BEH! =p

Melissa said...

Langkawi sounds really good. Want ah? :DDDD

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– Can. Langkawi is totally possible for a day trip. I've done it before for work. We just need to take the boat there. Or we could fly in also. Either way. Haha.

Melissa said...

YAY! Let's do it! Weekend or weekday? :D
