6 Points, 6x The Bullsh*t

#1: Sons are better than daughters. Really?? When you're old, grey and bedridden, who do you think will be the one who will be willing to get their hands dirty to personally change your XXL adult diaper, huh? Your son? Or your daughter? Think about it.

#2: A woman's career is nothing; a man's career is everything. Not in today's world, my friend. Not when education is freely available to the public and knowledge is easily accessible on the Net for all who wants to learn and earn. Times have changed. Equality is the name of the game. So, if a woman gives up her chosen career path for a man, it's cos she WANTS to; and not cos she HAS to.

#3: Wives are of no greater economic value other than to breed, cook, clean and keep house. Oh yeah? If so, why the hell has research shown that there are MORE women in universities worldwide than there are men? Everybody must either be dumb or dumber to be putting women in schools of tertiary education when they're just meant to just do what maids do at higher costs.

#4: Husbands are to make enough money to provide for the family. And do nothing else. When the bible talked about a man providing for his family, it spoke of more than just offering monetary support. (Something many people seem to confuse the scriptures to be about.) Hello, men are not just called to be bank accounts, okay. (Unless you want to be treated like one.) It includes p-r-o-v-i-d-i-n-g his family the necessary emotional, physical, psychological and physiological support, too!

#5: A man's parents are their parents, a girl's parents are her parents. When two become one in marriage, it works BOTH ways. (Unless the man was always just a pathetic 0.5 on his own and needed his woman's extra 0.5 to become whole. If so, I have nothing more to add.) Buy one, free two, BOTH ways.

#6: Family is only the family you marry into, and not the one you marry out of. People who think this way are just so kacang-lupakan-kulit I have nothing good to think or say about them. So ungrateful, unappreciative and thankless. Hello, if not for the family you already had that raised you, fed you and cared for you, don't even think you could be where you are today. Kids like these make me think: "Qi liao bee." (Literal English Translation: waste rice to feed; meaning, raising an unfilial child.)

– Haha. Not right now. Wrote this awhile back. Just re-discovered it in my drafts today so thought it might as well see the light of day. Haha. True ma, right??

I totally agree with what you said. Whoever says that man are better than women and that you forget the family that raised you up, I think they need to go back to whichever planet they came from. Their ideologies do not sit well with our era.

Mothers of brides cry at their daughter's wedding for all these reasons.

I think in Malaysia, we are actually at lost on the issue of Culture & Religion. Rather in Asia so to say.

The convenience is to preach superiority of 1 over the other. Most often, culture is the superior one.

Sad.

– Sucks, right? Sigh. At least you're a guy. You won't have to face much of this kind of discrimination. =(

That's why we must start changing the perspective of many, by instilling the thoughts of gender equivalence in ourselves...

Men shall no longer be required to pay for the meals during date or even honeymoon so to say, we ain't ATMs =P LOL!
