Counting Down The Days... No, Months... Wait, Years?!? @_@

I know it's barely been a quarter of a year since The Husband and I walked down the aisle (I did the walking, he just waited at the end of the line – lazy bum! =p) toward a future together BUT... I so can't wait for another wedding in the family!!

*bounces up and down in excitement*

Not so much because of the wedding planning and all that stuff girls usually go head-over-crazy about when wedding bells ring, but mainly cos I CAN'T WAIT TO GO DRESS HUNTING AGAIN*! Wheee!!! So, dating cousins! And cousins-in-law! Or brother of The Husband! Somebody in the family! Anybody who's still single! Please get married sooooOOoOoOoonnn!

@_@

*cough cough*

Urm, that's all. Thank you.

* No, I'm not talking about wedding gown hunting here. More like... going on the hunt for dresses I'd love to own but wouldn't spend as much on if I didn't have the perfect excuse to splurge. And what better excuse is there than a wedding in the family, right?? So... CHOP CHOP, PEOPLE! =p

– HAHAHA. Quickly lah. Whirlwind romance, ok? 1 month find, 1 month engaged, one month kahwin – KAUTIM! That gives me 3 months to find the perfect maxi for the dinner and the perfect dress for the solemnisation. =p

Come down to KL! Bring me dress shopping for John Loh's wedding. :D Okays?

gracielau said...

what. there should never be a reason like a 'wedding' for you to go dress hunting!
come. singapore awaits. dress hunting is officially a GO!

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– Hahaha. Come up to Penang! We can go dress hunting here! Cheaper! =p

ATTN: gracielau
– But I need a reason to spend MORE on a dress! You know? One of those fancy ones I'll probably wear no more than 2 times in my lifetime. Haha.

Weekend away in Singapore with you again? OMG OMG, you have no idea how much I want that! Haha. But gah! When when when?

Why only family? >.>

ATTN: Lissa
– Haha. Cos... I generally do not buy dresses for weddings. In fact *cue honest truth moment* I have NEVER bought a dress to attend a wedding. EVER. @_@

STOP JUDGING ME!

Melissa said...

BUT, Penang has limited choices! Besides, chances of people round the tiny island having the same dress as myself is relatively high. =_=

Lissa said...

I'm impressed! Haha. :P Good for you. :)

I'm available by the way... LOL

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– Eh... Penang has small boutiques also ma. If you shop at all the normal stores in KL like MNG or whatever not, then everybody will wear the same thing also. =p

ATTN: Lissa
– Amazing, right? I'm amazed myself. HAHA. But seriously speaking, it's never been a habit so... I don't feel like I was missing out on much. =p

ATTN: Jeffro
– OMG, shameless self promo!!! HAHAHAHAHA.

Melissa said...

NO NO NO, I hate MNG's clothes. The cutting super fail! >( Eclipse has good ones once in a blue moon. I managed to score when I got the purple dress that I wore to your wedding. ;)

Okays, if I can't find any by end of November, we're going shopping at those small boutiques first thing when I'm back. :D

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– Hahahaha. I like MNG bottoms.

If you wanna be sure you're not wearing something someone else is, go to Bangsar and Kota Damansara. Lots of small boutiques there, too.

Melissa said...

I like Levi's! They're so comfy and the fit is excellent; hugs and lifts at all the right places. ;)

YES, I heard. My friends and I are looking at a day trip around the boutiques there in the coming days. :)

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– I used to. Then they stopped using the denims I liked and started using those stretchable ones I didn't. Bleh.

Haha. All the best on your hunt then!

Melissa said...

I like their 'Curves' range - It's perfect for people who are chunky at the thighs like me. ;)

:) Thanks babe!

– I have a pair but I hardly wear it. It fit well when I was at the store but after wearing a few hours, it's loose! And it's always the same way after a wash. Fitting at first, then it starts hanging off my frame. Sigh. Lousy lah. T_T

Did you go shopping last weekend?

Melissa said...

Why like that? It means you lost weight la. Good what! I want also don't have. =_=

Did a little bit, to celebrate staying up for two days in a row without sleep. Why? :) Saw a gorgeous Guess top. Not figure-hugging, but my friend and I found it sexy; in those slouchy, baring the entire neck area with a hint of shoulder. It's not an off-shoulder, but an almost. I liked it very much. Not too crazy about the price though. :/

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– No lah. It's just the material. It stretches. Boo.

Haha. Tell you a secret. I have NEVER bought a product from Guess. And I've only walked into a Guess store 2 times in my life. =D

Melissa said...

I bought ONE on my own when I was working there. The sleeveless top was over RM200 and because I worked there, I got additional discount on top of it being a discounted item. So, ended up I paid less than 50 bucks for it.

Another one I have was from my friend who was holidaying in Oz. It was super cheap. Only 15 Aussie dollars and it had bling on it! :D

So, final decision: I didn't get the top. HAHA.

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– You worked at Guess?? When?! How much discount did you get? WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME???

And why didn't you get the top in the end? So what you getting? I've got a wedding I promised I'd dress up for coming up end of this month, too. And the dress code is formal so... jeng jeng jeng. Maybe I should go buy a nice one. *itchy* =p

Melissa said...

That time, you were still in KL. After I finished my SPM, I worked there for 2 months.

The top, I was eyeing it because I had itchy fingers. Wanted to splurge it on something. I think it was assignments pressure. Now also have. Now also feel like splurging. I think I've got issues. HAHA.

NICEEE! So, what are you going to wear? I've got to get a dress by late Nov/early Dec for John Loh's wedding. Wheeee!

Melissa said...

BTW, get extra 10% only. Not much. But at that time, it was sale season. They only have sale once a year. So as employees, we got to choose first, 'chup' the ones we like and have additional 10% off.

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
- I also dunno what I'm going to wear. I have a few new dresses I've owned since forever but haven't yet worn but... I'm itching. Definitely itching. See how lah.

And 10% ok lah. Better than nothing. Haha. I'm not sure if I would fit Guess sizing and cutting though.

Melissa said...

Go buy, go buy, go buy! :D

Can la. Your body shape, whichever brand also can fit. Easy-peasy.

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– Urm... not really lor. I don't suit all dresses from all companies wan. Niichi and I are good-ish friends. And I'm pretty ok with blogshop stuff. And some random Aussie brands. But the good stuff? I tend to have to have them altered. And that kinda sucks cos... I mean, you're already paying so much for the good stuff right? So you kinda expect them to be perfect already without you having to do anything else to it. :-/

It's not all sunshine and roses here, dah-lin.

Melissa said...

Yeah yeah yeah. I so get it, the alteration part. That's why I prefer figure-hugging (in the right places, with the right material). So that I don't have to alter. Having a perfect fit for non figure-hugging dresses are hard to come by for myself.

Niichi and me, not so. Their maxi-s are big at the back for me. The normal dresses make me look pudgy, for some reason or other. :/

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– Haha. Figure-hugging is the difficult part for me. I find that loose clothes work better. Just add a clincher and you're all set. I do that all the time. No alteration necessary. Haha. *cheating*

As for Niichi, I like their work wear. Simple, comfortable and totally affordable – three things that are right up my alley. Haha. I can't fit into their maxi-s either.

Melissa said...

Your frame can pull of anything! The cheongsam and silver dress you wore for your wedding morning and dinner, both of 'em were quite figure-hugging. And, I liked them! <3

Oooohhhh, work wear?! Never went there for that. I'll go have a look see soon. I need more presentable tops other than my tee-s.

Pam Song said...

ATTN: Melissa
– Hahaha. You say everything but it actually means SOME THINGS. Hahaha. Figure hugging clothes if they're made to fit okay lah. Or if they're moderately fitted ok lah. But not if they're 100% fitted. Cos buying fitted clothes off the rack is quite impossible for me. I'll have to take the waist in. Usually just tak boleh work with my body shape and size. Haha.

Yeah Nichii is good and cheap. Haha.
