I cannot take it lah. This has happened way too many times. WAAAAY too many times. First it's the harddisk dying just after a few months of me using it. Then it's the motherboard going on a suicide run for half a year before striking out altogether. And now it's back to the harddisk going kaput overnight without warning... AGAIN! And I haven't backed up my files!!! ROAR!

I felt the same when my RAM died and the bugger technicians DID NOT backup my stuff (especially my UK photos) before formatting my laptop.. end up I have to beg for photos from my camera wielding friends..
But I suppose since it's ur workspace, the 'tulan' feeling is 1 million times amplified..

i hate it also...my computer not yet die, but frustrated also la using it..use halfway will hang..cannot open too long, then have to restart only can use..benci...

I feel you. I'm just reinstalling stuff on my PC. I downloaded a virus that was so new, the anti virus didn't even pick it up.
I had to reformat and I lost some data. Lucky I had backed up all the important stuff. I lost some work projects and some new movies I just transcoded.
Going to spend the next few days reinstalling software. Like patient with amnesia slowly recovering.

I think the problem is that you move your com about too much. If you carry it all over the place you'll surely subject it to more hard knocks.
The poor thing cannot take it any more so gives up its ghost lo.
