Tonight made me realise how much I've missed not having certain people in my life. People who, at one time, mattered a great deal to me. Who still do matter to me, actually. And for me, this realisation was the beautiful byproduct of me picking up the phone, setting a date and actually meeting up with those special individuals once again. By actively making time for them, spending time with them.
Sharing good conversation. Lots of laughs. Big smiles. Tight hugs. A bag of new clothes bought especially for me and a new dress passed on to me. A red packet even after CNY came and went eons ago.

So what I say is this: Screw the rules of convention. Tonight, I bid Social Traditions 'goodbye.' It's really about time that I started cutting those red tapes loose. The ones that I'd somehow unknowingly allowed bind me over the last 9 months. Tapes that stopped me from hanging out with those who matter to me. People whom, if I want to keep having them matter to me at all, I should openly be able to care for and spend time with.
