Who Said Wishes Don't Come True? They Totally Do!

Remember Antoinette-Fleur, the very-talented portrait artist I featured on Tinki Talks over a year ago, back in April 2009? (Click here to view said post.) And remember how I said she just added me on Facebook one fine day in March 2010?

Well, we somehow got to talking online – ahh, the wonders of Facebook – and after a few exchanges, I finally gathered up the courage to ask her what it would take for her to draw someone a portrait. I.e. me – but I didn't say so at the time. She informed me that her agent's contact was on her website and that I should write in if I was interested.

Well, to cut the long story short, I ended up not asking her for a professional portrait (although I really, really, really wanted one – silly me). BUT... God works in mysterious ways. And He still granted me the desires of my heart in the form of a very pleasant but totally unexpected gift.

Last night, I came home
to the loveliest set of portraits
waiting for me in my Inbox. =)

I was over the moon!

Antoinette drew that portrait based on
this Facebook profile picture of me.

I actually wrote a post with that picture before.
Click here if you're interested in jumping to it.

And cummon... just look at her work!

IS SHE AMAZING OR IS SHE AMAZING???

I think I even look better in her portrait of me
than I did in the actual picture!!

Needless to say, I went to bed feeling on top of the world with what I'm sure would have been the silliest of grins plastered across my face. =D I can't remember but I'm sure I had pleasant dreams. =p

Woke up this morning – still feeling like the happiest bunny alive – and checked my email to find ANOTHER version of my portrait (different background) in another email from her! Talk about double, triple, quadruple blessing! Haha.

She also shared that she may actually print it on a large canvas and showcase it in an art exhibition that's coming up (!!!), aside from telling me (actually, asking for my permission – haha, how sweet) earlier that she wanted to publish my portraits on her website.

So, this morning, I went into her website
to check it out and... TADA!

Argh, I love her work!

If you love Antoinette-Fleur's work, too, shoot her an email (mail to: contact@antoinettefleur.fr) for a quote – she answers them very promptly! – and you can have your own artsy-fartsy portrait just like me! =D If you still need convincing about how great her doodles are *shakes head rolls eyes* visit her website to see for yourself how just much awesomeness you're doubting cos Antoinette-Fleur rocks!
