Mee Goreng, Burmah Road, Pulau Tikus

Firstly, let me qualify that this is NOT the "famous" Bangkok Lane Mee Goreng. That wan totally tak boleh pakai. Trust me, I just had it 2 weeks ago cos the one I usually eat sold out by the time I got there. Macam makan mee sos tomato without ingredients saja. Blergh. No no, this is the stall opposite Balai Polis Pulau Tikus, further down the road (if you're heading towards Pulau Tikus traffic lights) from Tan Mark Bookstore and Penang Dental Surgery.

I apologise for not knowing the name of the kopi tiam but... it's a corner lot and the mee goreng is fried by a skinny Indian dude who speaks Hokkien. His stall faces Burmah Road at Pulau Tikus – like, he fries while looking at the road wan, and the kopi tiam he's in also sells Wan Than Mee, Hokkien Mee and Apom. That's all I know about the kopi tiam. Soli. I hope you find it. All the best.

But this mee goreng??

It's AWWEEESSOMMEEEE...

Last Friday's order of Mee Goreng with egg,
no vege, no taugeh, only potato and taukua.

My insides rejoiced with every bite.

I like this uncle's Mee Goreng too!!!!! I'll always have it when I'm back. And, this coffee shop is the one with the famous apom and expensive wan than mee, right?

The mee goreng at the junction of Burma Road and Bangkok Lane is that horrible meh? Not bad mah.... Can't remember when I last had it though @__@ I don't recall it being horrible but it's not as nice as how everyone raved about it.

The Bangkok Lane wan super cacat now lah. So wet. Summore only can taste tomato sauce. Lousy lah. Don't bother.

Last time I would prefer the one down the road from Tan Mark, but I wouldn't mind eating the Bangkok Lane wan if he's closed. Now??? Rather dun eat, man. Yuck.

Hahahahaha. You won't believe how much I miss the food that I actually have to cook them here myself. I did try cooking Hokkien Mee (this one cheating punya. Bought the paste from home. ;p), Char Koay Teow, Lor Mee. They turned out pretty well. Nevermind, I'll be home for quite awhile this time round. Can slowly eat away the awesome hawker food out state has to offer. :D

I dunno nice or not leh. Heard its not too bad. Chinese meh?? I thought Indian. Your parents should know kua. Their office there right??
