I must admit that our Save The Date cards have just been a mild success thus far. Not amongst any of my friends nor The Fiancé's buds from abroad who know their purpose and are aware of what those cards were sent for, of course. But more so with some Malaysian friends of The Fiancé, his parents and my parents.


Some of my parents' friends have asked, "Eh, why so early wan your invitation?" Others wondered, "Hmmm. How come no time and details of the event ah?" Alamak. Fail maximum. -_-''' Suddenly the difference in wedding culture sticks out like a sore thumb among the invitees in this predominantly Chinese guest list. Guess we're more angmor-fied/Jewish than we are Chinese in this respect. Haha.


Anyway, it may be confusing (to some), but still necessary nonetheless. And I guess looking at the big picture, it's almost okay if our Penang guests don't get what our Save The Date cards are for. Cos those cards were primarily purposed to notify our guests from KL, UK, India, Australia and Singapore early enough for them to arrange their travel plans anyways. No diff for local guests in that case.

Having said that, I'm pleased to see

that a good number of our friends

have gotten back to us already.
