DGMB Strikes Back... In A Good Way. =)

It all started with this:

Click here to jump to joshuaongys' blog.

And then one by one...

Click here to jump to JenkinYat's blog.

Click here to jump to David's blog.

Click here to jump to Kel Li's blog.

Click here to jump to Nigel's blog.

Click here to jump to Sheon's blog.

Click here to jump to Stanley's blog.

There were other DGMB-ians – namely CincauHangus and YapThomas – who sent their wishes via email and chat, too, so that was a nice surprise. Even more pleasant a surprise was joshuaongys' heart-warming post that Nigel alerted me to – thanks, Nigel! – that conveyed his congratulations and helped bring back some fond memories of the good times we shared as members of the awemazing (we're awesome and amazing, yo!) DGMB.

That's just a part of it. Click here to read from source.
Oh, and please ignore that crap picture of me in his post.
So fail face, man. We took so many pictures together
and he just HAD to use that one. Wth.
-_-

Defintely aww-worthy. =) Anyway,
it's time for some personal messages...

-------------

Dear joshuaongys,

Why you go use past tense when talking about DGMB?
Make me sad only. TKT is still active wat.
If anything, this post is pictorial proof of that! =)

Still a proud member of DGMB,
Pam Song

---------

Dear ahli-ahli DGMB,

Firstly... Thanks so much you guys!
(Yes, including you, Yatz. Stop crying. =p)

We've come along way since our humble beginning, haven't we? (Click here for a full list of DGMB-related posts I've written. I think. =p) But guess what? Although quite a lot of time has passed since we last rubbed shoulders, lived it up and physically hung out together, the lot of you still rock my online world like no other. =)

Once a DGMB-ian, always a DGMB-ian!
DGMB BOLEH! HIDUP DGMB! Hahaha.

XOXO,
Pam Song

Blogger Movie Meet 3 – The Story (Finally) Unfolds

It happened! BMM3 actually happened! And guess what? We had a pretty impressive number to boast, too! A total of 36 people showed up. (All of whom were bloggers, minus one who had a DGMB girlfriend so we decided to close one eye and gave him a free pass. Tee hee.)

The tickets.

Me working my magic with the tickets. (Yeah, right.
I think that was when I almost dropped the whole stack. HAHA.)

Thomas, Joshua and I with the tickets.

But wait till you see this next pic.

36 tickets and 1 not-so-tall Pam Song.

THE TICKETS ARE "TALLER"
THAN I AM, MAN! -_-'

(I am not short. I am not short. I am not short. T_T)

And the result?

Well, whole lot of bloggers
in a cinema, of course! Haha.

We're all so small until I also cannot see who's who. Haha.

Check that out, yo. That's PROOF!

35 poser bloggers in total, minus the
female DGMB-ian's boyfriend mentioned earlier
who simply refused to get into the picture.

-_-'

So shy lah he.

No, wait a minute. In fact, come to think of it, I have reason to believe that he's in none of the pictures! @_@ Cos he and Miss DGMB-ian girlfriend came late! *smacks bum* They didn't even make it for our first group photo of the day – our customary group pic at the entrance of the cinema.

BMM3's photography session:

BMM2's group pic:

BMM1's group pic:

Awww – DGMB-ians, I love this pic of us!

COMMERCIAL BREAK TIME!
Urgh, I think my paragraphing sucks
and my thoughts are all over the place.
-_-' Blogging at 7:23AM is NOT good.

Programme resumes.

So after the customary photography session was over and done with, we rushed through the entrance. (Late already, cinema hall numbers blinking like crazy, panic giler babi... but normal lah. =p) But before you think us disorganised and unruly, I tell you, we all damn civilised okayyy. Look!

TWO BY TWO SUMMORE,
DUN PLAY PLAY!

*beams*

Che wah, I feel like
a proud parent. HAHA.

Wth.

As planned, we watched He’s Just Not That Into You. Though this next picture just says "Into You", which actually doesn't quite make sense.

Right outside the hall.

Hmmm.

Anyways, good movie. I was sitting at the edge of my seat the whole time. GUYS AND GIRLS, YOU SHOULD ALL WATCH THIS! It's good insight to the male and female psyche! Definitely a movie couples should watch together. (How fortunate for that female DGMB-ian who brought her boyfriend along. Haha.) I'd watch it again, actually. But at home with a downloaded/pirated version lah. Haha. Cheapskate Penang kia just cannot change.

Now, for stories on the friendship-building that day!

Me being me, I felt it necessary that I do my rounds to ensure that the non-DGMB-ians felt comfortable with us. (Don't you all just love me??? Don't you? Don't you!?) Lunch hour before the movie was spent jumping from table to table. Tiring sial! Because, to tell you honestly, I'm not a PR girl. I can't do it and stay perky doing it. It drainsss me. I will koyak and my semangat just pancit on the inside after awhile.

But...

BECAUSE I CARE FOR
YOU ALL SOOOO MUCH,
I S-A-C-R-I-F-I-C-E!

(Somebody, please give me a Nobel Prize!)

Jumping.

Jumping again.

There was more jumping lah but the paparazzi
with the killer cams weren't doing their job.

Heh.

And might I remind you that all that's
even BEFORE we went for the movie.

*sweat*

AFTER the movie, we adjourned to Laundry Bar for our regular after-movie-yamcha-session. A lot of photo-taking was conducted here. Problem is, if I'm to post up all the pictures, I'd die from (1) editing the pictures, and/or (2) from waiting for the pictures to upload. So... here are a few that come with stories of sorts. =)

Kelz and I at "Movie World".

Kelz decided that I should be at
"Movie World" alone. Damn sad case.

And because Tock kept pulling pan cool James Bond looks anytime anyone tried snapping a picture of him...

Like this:

Check out the pan cool look on Tock the duuuuddeeeee lah. Haha.

...I just couldn't resist but go all out
on my own attempt at pulling a Tock.

Tada!

And another!

Hahah. Wth, I look as pale as sheet (and sh*t) here, wei. And ekspresi a bit the fail this time around. But nevermind lah. ASALKAN CUBA! Jangan hilang harapan untuk maju ke hadapan! Wawasan 2020, kamulah tujuanku-uuu! Malaysia, negaraku yang tercinta, semoga maju jaya!

*blink blink*

Ok. Confirm siao liao.

Can't help it lah guys. It's 7:54AM, I'm hungry, and I'm thinking of the donuts Aaron brought for the DGMB-ians on BMM3 day.

Krispy Kreme Donuts! Don't see what's
so special about them actually. (Sorry, Aaron!)

The darlings actually left me one that day (cos I eat so slow that dinosaurs would have returned to roam the Earth again before I got to touch the donut what the hell am I talking about I also dunno so tired can die brain not concentrating di -_-').

So sweet hor? =)

The thought; not the donut.
The donut was just nice.

ANYHOO... This is us:

The entire BMM3 group minus Lin and BF who came late.
(OH NO, I TER-REVEAL THE SECRET COUPLE! Tee hee.)

And since bloggers can never take
too many pictures, here's the lot of us again
during our Laundry Bar yamcha session:

The group seems to have shrunk cos
some people left already by this time.
(Yes, Jamie, I'mma lookin' atcha!)

And a pic of the DGMB-ians who made if for BMM3. =)

The lot of us minus Linora who cabut lari. *grunt*

For kicks, I'm gonna end this with a cute pic of Jan-E
who looked totally smokin' in her yellow shoes. =)

...which, of course, you can't see in this picture, but since I'm the one posting, you can't say nothing to what I'm doing. HAHA. Syok. (Tapi syok sendiri. -_-' Takpe. Masih geli hati.)

Anyhoo, it was a good run, y'all.
See you at the next one – BMM4, bay-beh!

p/s: I've got more pictures and more stories but I'll do a follow-up another day when my brain returns from strike, ok? I gotta go get ready for work now. T_T SEE WHAT I DO FOR YOU GUYS??? And you say I don't care. *sniffle*

Has Anybody Seen My Weekend?

It totally flew by. Like, totally. Sigh. And as of this moment, I'm officially 49 minutes away from 20 hours and 19 minutes into Tuesday. TUESDAY! (It WAS 49 minutes from Monday when I started writing this post. And then I got totally sidetracked by the baby drama so this ended up going into Drafts. =p) How utterly depressing. -_-

Sitting at my workspace after a looong Monday Tuesday, I now wonder where my weekend went. (As you can probably tell by now, I actually took three days to complete this post. Procrastination rocks.) I mean, heck! It pretty much went by without my notice! Sigh. Depresso. Let's see what I did all weekend...

[Chris, I'm taking this cue from you. =p]

SATURDAY

1145 hours: Wake up and... uh, and... and... (Darn it, I can't remember what I did already. This is so not a good start. Anyhew,... NEXT!)

1345 hours: Reply one of the many DGMB gmail threads to tell Amy I'll be able to fetch her from KJ. It's not exactly on the way lah but... it's around the area. Plus, it doesn't hurt to pretend to be nice every once in awhile, right? Oh, and I heard all about her cute beau I had yet to see so... Heh heh. Figured that short trip in the wrong direction would be well worth my effort. =p

1415 hours: Ask Thomas, the walking road map, what time we're leaving for the DGMB BBQ. He says we meet at 5PM. And the BBQ starts at 4PM. *rolls eyes* Go figure.

1630 hours: Thomas changes meeting time to 5:30PM. Already left to pick Amy and Amy's BF. Too late to turn back now.

1655 hours: Thomas changes meeting point.

1745 hours: It's official. Thomas is a liar. The lot of us (Amy, Amy's BF and I) are sitting in my car waiting for him at Sentral... and he's still nowhere in sight! Grrr.

1830 hours: The lousy bugger finally shows up in his red car. Dunno how much petrol I burn already. Ish. His grandfather own petrol station wan issit???

*pause*

You know, writing about my day in this manner is such a waste of time. Chris, I don't know how you do it. It takes so long to say anything! I'm going to stop this diary-based post right now.

*takes deep Zen breath*

The story goes like this: Thomas arrived at Sentral super late so that kinda made us super-duper late for the DGMB BBQ at Nigel's place. (Yes, Thomas. I'm blaming YOU.) So much so that we missed the entire setting-up session, the cucuk-ing of the chicken wings we ate, the fire-starting, the marshmellows, and most of the BBQ-ing! AND WE WERE IN THE BBQ-ING TEAM, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!! Haih. In the end, all we did there was eat, make noise and talk rubbish. (*blush* Sorry ya, guys. *shy* Yatz, you da man. Your GF also da man.)

We ate, laughed, bitched talked, played games and basically enjoyed each other's company all night. It was all good.

Time to showcase the company I was with
(and my Photoshopping skills).

Nyek nyek.

What I first saw from Nigel's Facebook.

Look like kena doctor kau kau. So me being me,
I insisted for the original file Hwei Ming shot.

It was 10MB in size.

*sweat*

The original. A little under-exposed, if you ask me.

Got it (only after a whole hour of waiting for the download to complete on my sucky home Internet connection) and started work.

This *points below* is the pic
after I doctored it to my liking. =p

My version of the same pic.

*beams*

Me loves Photoshop very many.
More pics for your viewing pleasure
when I get them... if I feel like it.

Blogger Movie Meet 3 Is Here!

What's here, you ask? Blogger Movie Meet, that's what! And why now, you wonder? Well, cos it's DGMB's 1st Anniversary! Whee!

This was BMM1's crew of 17 bloggers.

Amy, Kellster, Nadia, Linora, Joshua, Randy.
BACK (from left to right): Yatz, YapThomas, Hwei Ming,

Gosh, can you believe that? It's been a whole year since that first random outing together and now, we're already on Blogger Movie Meet 3! Amazing how time flies, huh? Ahh, I'm aging so many fond memories of good times shared.

Anyhoo, without much further ado,
let's get down to business.

Credits to Nigel for this image.

THE WHAT-WHERE-WHEN OF IT ALL
---------------------------------------------
DATE: 26 April 2009
DAY: Sunday
TIME: 1PM (TBC)
LOCATION: Cineleisure, Mutiara Damansara
MEETING POINT: TBC
MOVIE: He’s Just Not That Into You

* TBCs will be updated. Stay tuned.

-------------------
THE SYNOPSIS
-------------------
A group of interconnected, Baltimore-based twenty- and thirty-somethings navigate their various relationships from the shallow end of the dating pool through the deep, murky waters of married life, trying to read the signs of the opposite sex... and hoping to be the exceptions to the "no-exceptions" rule.

Gigi just wants a man who says he'll call – and does – while Alex advises her to stop sitting by the phone. Beth wonders if she should call it off after years of committed singlehood with her boyfriend, Neil, but he doesn't think there's a single thing wrong with their unmarried life. Janine's not sure if she can trust her husband, Ben, who can't quite trust himself around Anna. Anna can't decide between the sexy married guy, or her straightforward, no-sparks standby, Conor, who can't get over the fact that he can't have her. And Mary, who's found an entire network of loving, supportive men, just needs to find one who's straight.

If you've ever sat by the phone wondering why he said he would call, but didn't, or if you can't figure out why she doesn't want to sleep with you anymore, or why your relationship just isn't going to the next level... he (or she) is just not that into you.

[Source]

Eh guys, don't think that it's a sissy movie for chicks or anything okayyy. It boasts quite a rockin' cast so you may just wanna consider this a not-to-be-missed. Cast members include Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Connelly, Kevin Connolly, Bradley Cooper, Ginnifer Goodwin, Scarlett Johansson and Justin Long.

PLUS, if it's a full-on chick flick and you're a guy, you could totally get distracted from the storyline and just oogle the lovely ladies on screen. Heh. Oh oh! And you know how it is with these random blogger meets lah – it's the purr-fect place to meet somebody cos you never know who may just end up showing up!

*cough cough wink wink*

So before I go, I leave you with this:

Pam Song Talks About Having Kids

Over the past few months, some DGMB members and other random bloggers have started bugging me to start having kids so they can play with babies and eat red egg. Well, in a recent conversation with my fellow DGMB-ians on our regular email TKT (tokkokthread), this ensued:

TKT 3 days ago on 18 October 2011.

I meant it to be sarcastic. But then...

Now that I look at it...

 Hahaha. Damn, I'm funny! =p

Project 365: 26/04/2009 [Me On BMM3 Day!]

NOTE: The following pictures were shot by Nigel Tee a.k.a Flyguy (formerly known as Superman here on Tinki Talks) during the DGMB Blogger Movie Meet 3 at Cineleisure Damansara. Just so you know, these pictures were taken without my knowledge so DUN CAME AND SAY I POSER! (Haha. Must add disclaimer first to cover backside and save ego from potential meltdown. =p)

Again, you get two pictures cos I can't decide which I should publish. I like them both equally. Simply because nicely taken candid shots are ever so rare though they rock so hard.

So... when in doubt, be kiasu.

JUST PUT ALL! Hahaha.

That's your key learning for today. Thank you for joining us as we study The Pam Song Art Of Making Decisions. Stay tuned for more.

Summore Owe-ings!

I just remembered some other stuff I promised you guys (hmmm, maybe I was smart and, well, didn't) but never got around to posting. Some movie reviews, some good tracks, and whole bunch of events I've attended. The McCann Erickson "Truth Well Told" Party. The DGMB BBQ. The DGMB Satay Celup Night. The karaoke session I had about a month back. A Penang's-best-curry-fish-head post. My other karaoke session with the boys... amongst many others I still can't remember.

Sigh. This time die lah. Die.

AARON HO IS THE KETOT-EST!

Took 10 minutes out of my day to cream CincauHangus.

*blink blink*

No, wait. That seemed alright in my head
but looking at it now, I think I should fix it.

Round 2.

Took 10 minutes out of my day to ruin the life
of LOW-ly (pun intended) CincauHangus.

After shrinking the dude down to size,
his pose suddenly looks soooo salah. HAHA.
Try guessing what it was he was holding. =p

Nyek nyek nyek.

Never mess with a woman. Or her height.

Hmmph!

p/s: Took this pic at my house when the DGMB-ians came over last Sunday. It was the final stop of our DGMB Chinese New Year '09 visitation round. Haha. Can't wait to blog it but SOME people still haven't shared their lot of the pics. *points all 10 fingers at JoshuaOYS, CincauHangus and Narymama*

The Birthday Boy Turns 25

Okay, I lied.

His birthday's still two days away. Haha.
But cummon lah. Same diff, okay. Same diff.

*grin*

Plans for this celebration began a little less than a month before D-day. And considering how some people are only free-ER during the weekends (DON'T POINT YOUR FINGERS MY WAY COS IT'S NOT JUST ME, OKAYYY), pushing forward the celebration by a couple of days seemed like a real good idea. So that's what we did.

The whole birthday celebration was supposed to be a surprise birthday party but – like all good intentions – things happened along the way so we kinda scratched the plan after awhile. Haha. Too bad one of us had already lied to the birthday boy for weeks... for nothing. =p

Me. And The Gifted Liar. =p

And look! It's us again! Camwhoring is so addictive. -_-

So in the end, The Accidental Happening made up for her little screw up with bee-oo-tee-fool rocker-themed cup cakes from Wondermilk.

Peace offering from Amy to make up for a minor slip-up
that took place during the initial planning stage. =p

*heart melts*

Me hearts these little colourful things a lot a lot. Would rather look at them than eat them, though. They're waaay too sweet for my liking. Anyway, can already get diabetes just by looking at them lah. So, in the end, no diff. Eat, dun eat, also die. Might as well stuff my face (if you can even call this 'stuffing') with a cupcake or two. Or three four.

We were at TGIF, Pavilion so... after the whole sing-song-loud-loud-to-embarass-the-birthday-boy-kau-kau session ended, the lot of us ended up taking pics with Fehmes Birthday Boy Nigel.

Nigel and the girls. (No, that wasn't a typo. =p)

Nigel in another pic with the girls. (This is so much fun.)

I seem to have had my hand at a somewhat... salah-looking position in that last pic so... it calls for no less than ANOTHER PIC!!! *grin* (Saja nak cari excuse aje. =p)

Ahh, now I look fine. Yay! Too bad the others ended up looking
totally spastic. Haha. (Nigel, Sheng Li and Shortness excluded.)

And true to DGMB style, I now present you the group
that was present for Fehmes Birthday Boy Nigel's Birthday.

From Left to Right [First Row, Seated]: Clubber-But-Don't-Look-Like-Clubber Amy, Weird Sheng Mae, Fehmes Birthday Boy Nigel, Small-Mouthed David, Quiet Jennifer. (Please tell me I got Yatz's girlfriend's name right. *prays*) Quiet Josephine. (Tell me I got it right this time. -_-)

[Second Row, Standing]: Kuchi Mayam Sheng Li, Pam Song, Cannot-Do-Hand-Signs Nadia, Hand-Sign-Queen Kel Li, You-Going-For-Church-Ah? Joshua, BBQ King Yatz.

[Third Row, Standing On Tip Toes (applies to Aaron only? =p)]: Recovering-Porn-Addict Hwei Ming, Not-So-Strong-Flash Flasher Aaron, Backside Hole Thomas, Magician-Wannabe Randy, I'd-Rather-Play-Basketball-Than-Sleep Stanley.

Happy Birthday, Nigel!
Hope you had have a good one. =)

p/s: More pics to come in due time. (Again, IF I feel like it lah.) These are only the ones I got from Hwei Ming's camera. He's a good boy. The others, on the other hand, need a good spanking.

The End Is Here. Time For A New Beginning.

It's that time of the year again – done with the past, some minor cleaning up left to do, and no more time for anything else but reflection. And yeps, I'm reflecting, alright.

This year has been a pretty eventful one for me. Haha. Was cajoled into entertaining thoughts of a formal union... and then I said 'goodbye' and walked out and away from everything. Sent in my resignation... then retracted it. Wanted to go, begin anew at a familiar place... but ended up starting up my engines again at the same place I was at before. Wanted to leave it all behind... but ended up staying to fight the good fight instead.

Phew.

And that's just the beginning.

Haha. Are ya lost now? Okay, okay. I'll be clearer with what I'm saying. What with this being the last day of the year and all, right? Haha. Might as well be direct and to-the-point at least once in 365 days. =p

So... here goes.

*deep breath*

2008

1. Met my blog family – the DGMBians.

2. Dived deeper into the blogging social circle. (Kinda sorta considering my timetable doesn't allow a whole lot of for-fun-type socialising hours. -_-)

3. Wrote my first blog advertorial on Tinki Talks and then some.

4. Left the man I loved, whom I once thought I'd eventually find myself marrying and sharing the rest of my life with.

5. Thought I'd be packing to head over to Perth but instead, I found a lovely new place to call 'Home'.

6. Resigned from McCann Erickson, was told to reconsider my resignation, then had my resignation letter returned to me after I decided to stay.

7. Changed partners thrice after The Art Guy left – (1) The Male Ah Lian, (2) Ah Beng and currently, I'm with (3) Duh Roads.

8. Had real work submitted to The Kancils.

9. Finally got to touch other accounts and work with other Group Heads.

10. Found happiness. =)

2009

1. Save more money. (Blew most of it on the new place and I haven't yet gotten the deposit from my old place back. -_-)

2. Sleep earlier. Sleep more. (Yeah, right.)

3. Go home earlier. Spend less time at the office. (Keeping my fingers crossed for this one.)

4. Start dancing again.

5. Exercise a little every once in awhile. At least to get toned, if not to get healthy. (I know, my priorities are screwed. =p)

6. Be daring and dangerous. (Mwahahaha. Already on my way there!)

7. Drastically reduce my Jaded Quotient (JQ).

8. Learn to trust again.

9. Go back to believing in the goodness of men.

10. Re-learn loving another without holding back.

Wow. Looks like there's lots to get working on.
Oh, well. Better get started then. Toodles.

WHY BLOGGERS SHOULDN'T MISS BLOGGER MOVIE MEET 2
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

You'll get to see hot-shot YapThomas and butt-kicker Pam Song in the flesh! *GAG* So narcissistic! Hahaha. Kiddin'. On a more serious note, if this meet is anything like the first meet Thomas and I planned, it'll be a place for you to get to know other bloggers in a setting that doesn't require a lot of getting-to-know-you effort on your part.

The initial group of 16 have somehow managed to keep in touch in spite of the physical distance that separates us (we've got members who're based in Kedah and even those who are now as far away from us as the UK!) and Definitely Gang, Maybe Bang (DGMB) has had its turn at successfully making its mark on the Innit Most Popular board.

*blink blink*

AREN'T THESE REASONS ENOUGH TO GO???
Sheesh! Must beg you to go now, issit?! ROAR!

*smacks you*

So there you have it! All the details you'll need for to decide if you're up for THE coolest, THE rockest, THE most happening Blogger Movie Meet yet. (Che wah. Oversell kau kau, wei. Haha. You all manage your own expectations ya.)

Ah, wait!

But I forgot one tiny, little,
VERY IMPORTANT detail.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
HOW TO RSVP TO US FOR BLOGGER MOVIE MEET 2
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Send an email to movie@yapthomas.com with the email subject "My Best Friend's Girl Movie Outing." Within that email, be sure to enlist the following details:
  1. YOUR NAME (Real name or pseudo blogger name – it doesn't matter.)
  2. YOUR CONTACT NUMBER (A valid, reachable one alrights. And don't worry. We won't be handing your contact details out to anybody.)
  3. YOUR BLOG URL (This is a must. This event is open to bloggers ONLY so if you haven't started blogging, this is a good time to start!)

Your ticket will be booked upon closing of RSVP hours at 12noon, 25 October 2008 (Saturday). As was before, your ticket will only be purchased on the day of the event AFTER RECEIPT OF FULL PRICE OF TICKET. (We're not Nuffnang, and neither are we millionaires who give out free movie tickets to bloggers twice a year. Haha. We're just the event organisers. But perhaps we will someday. You guys go bug Nuffnang to give Thomas and I more ads and advertorial opportunities lah, okay? Haha.)

and hopefully, I'll see you there!

Project 365: 05/04/2009 [Zooming Along]

That was me on my way to lunch with some of the DGMB-ians. It was a meet-up sempena Hwei Ming's trip home from the UK. Dunno why we bother also. The babi flying off again soon. -_- Don't think he misses us much. *sniffle*

BUT... On a whole, *pulls tissue* lunch and Hwei Ming aside, *wipes snot* that day was pretty eventful. For me, for my wallet, for my wardrobe and for my shoe cabinet. -_-' But that's another story for another day. All I'll say is that it was RM213.50 well spent. =)

p/s: My goodness, I just looked at today's date and realised that I'm a whole week late with my Project 365 posts. -_- Gotta catch up.
