Statement Tee Week Got Botched

Okay, so there wasn't a Wednesday Statement Tee. Why? Cos I was home. In bed. In my jammies. Resting. Was on MC yesterday. And, well, now there's no Thursday Statement Tee, too, cos... I, like, forgot. -_- (I kinda like what I'm wearing today, though. =p)

But this I do remember:
The doc told me that I need to...

(1) Take more sweets. My blood glucose levels are low so I'm supposed to pump up my sugar intake so I don't feel dizzy. Plus, the added sugar's supposed to help me gain the weight my body needs. Doc says take milk with sugar. Hmmm. Not cool. What if I get diabetes from this advice?!

(2) Sleep more. Haha. This is a toughie. But okay. I'll try. No working past midnight till after Christmas!

(3) Stress less. Hmmm. I don't think I'm very stressed, actually. Only every once in awhile when things get too crazy at work. And even then, it's pretty manageable.

(4) Eat more seafood and fried stuff. I've got unbelievably low cholesterol. I'm not kidding you. It's a 2.59mmol/L at the moment. That's waaay below what's normal, if you didn't know. That's why my cholesterol levels need to go up. The doc told me that low cholesterol leads to lower production of sex hormones, slower digestion of fat (THEN WHY AM I STILL NOT PUTTING ON WEIGHT?!) and slower formation of cell membranes. Sigh. But seafood's expensive!!! This calls for more Hokkien Mee (that's Prawn Mee for you KL folk) and lots of KFC!

Oh, and guess what she prescribed me?
Multivitamins. HAHAHA. Sweet-tasting,
tiny, little red ones that look glossy all over.

Awesome!

Slinki,

Now I presume your doc says u r low in the HDL cholesterol (Good Cholesterol), while the LDL (Baddie lesterol) should be as low as possible.

Intro on HDL and LDL and
briefly on the healthy and unhealthy range of the HDL and LDL.

Now u said your level is low (@ 2.59mmol/L). I'm not sure you are talking LDL or HDL. But according to that web article, HDL needs to be as high as u can, while for LDL - a less than 100 mg/L is optimal. (I had a blood test a 18months ago as part of company's healthy lifestyle shit program, but seemed to have misplaced that report, so cant remember the range used, but my LDL is 72 something.)

Using the conversion factor of (mg/L X 0.0259 =mmol/L). So, the equivalent of 2.59mmol/L == 100mg/L.

Forget the figures, HAHA. My point is ...seafood and KFC are gonna hike up the LDL and not your HDL. So dont be a silly girl and get stuffed wif Zinger burgers, but drink more cows milk or soya milk.

ATTN: Chris
– That's my total cholesterol reading. Not specific towards LDL or HDL. Either way, it's low. And... last I checked when I did a full medical, I was low on bad cholesterol, too. Haha.

Eh! Seafood is entirely bad cholesterol meh??? Can't be laaa. I mean, if I suck on prawn heads all the time then maybe lah. But... not really right!?

And... I heard that soya milk isn't good if you consume it too much. Hmmm. You trying to conn me?!

ATTN: Spectre
– HAHAHA. Awesome!

ATTN: zecount
– Yeah, you're right I think. It's total cholesterol. Haha. But I'm taking fish oil already. Not regularly but... still, taking lah. Probably a couple of biji a week. Haha. Whenever I remember lah. Haha.

– HEY! Don't criticise my poo!!! My poo's nice! Rawr!

Ermm u're right, actually those crabs, prawns, steaks are the potent baddie-lesterol. Not the fish or sushi, on the contrary, they are potent goodie-lesterol. Eh, everywhere got eat-all-u-can seafood buffets, like opposite the Kelana Jaya LRT, then Sunway Mas, Subang, etc.

And u numbskull! How can u say that i'm trying to con U! Do everything in moderation and it shouldnt be harmful.

About the cervical vaccine jab, perhaps u can ask this med- student, she'd written something bout it and recommended it. Her Blog.

Once again, u numbskull!

ATTN: Chris
– I dun mind fish. I like fish, actually. But what's wrong with crabs? Or prawns? And sotong?

Hahaha. I've done everything in moderation so far lah, numbskull. TIME FOR A CHANGE! Time to bring on the REAL DEAL. Tene nene! Tene nene!

Ooo. I read her take on it. Hmmm. Tak tau lah. I read from the site she left. Seems like I should take it. BUT... my doctor friend said that I shouldn't. -_- HOW NOW!?

ATTN: pinksterz

I duuno, but crustaceans n steaks are juz LDL rich. What is the real deal u were saying? N you're not supposed to call me by the same degrading name that i'd juz labelled on u. Think of your own one, dammit.

N what is the reason your fren discouraged you from taking the jab? I read western countries are tryin to mandate that all teenage girls be getting the jab soon. But what is with the hurry anyway? Take some more time to read n research. Maybe i can ask my frens in the med field as well.
