Sh*t Brides Say

This one made me laugh my butt off cos it's totally what girls think, say, do and feel before the wedding, and just before they go all psycho Bridezilla on their friends and bridesmaids. Haha. Oh how I wish I saw this before mine. But if you're planning a wedding and you're reading this now... lucky you. Enjoy!

5 Things I SUPER HATE In Men

  1. Super ego
  2. Chauvinistic tendencies
  3. The claim to veto power just because
  4. Thinking with their crotch and not their heads
  5. Believing that they have a right to impose their rule over the fairer sex

PUH-LEEZE LAH. WAKE. UP.
 This ain't the 1800s, dammit! >(

New Mouse In Da House

My in-with-the-times Bluetooth Logitech mouse and I have been at odds with one another for awhile now. Sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesn't. And most of the time, the latter. So I stopped using it altogether sometime last year. Since then, I've been trackpad-ing my way through work and I must say, it's a royal pain in the butt editing pictures without a mouse. (Not that I edit pictures for work but... whatever. =p)

But seriously. Even everyday scrolling through websites and clicking through files is a hundred times more tedious and painful without a mouse connected. So, today – since experience has wised me up to things and I finally realise that connectivity can be a real b*tch when it comes to erratic Bluetooth mouses and all that – I took a step backward and asked the IT guy at MCKL for my own brand new, ever-reliable, plug-in mouse. =p

Tadaaa! Back to basics, yo!
Just like old times. Wheeee!

Goodbye you evil Carpal Tunnel Syndrome you;
hello, clickety-click and scrolley-scroll mouse! <3

Ahh, the joys of working with an MNC with a dedicated tech team that has an endless supply of gadgets at their disposal with (almost) no budget constraints. =)

Dressing Up For The New Year

I've never really dressed myself up in new clothes for Chinese New Year before, much less dress up in anything new and bright and happy and red(-ish). @_@ Till this year came along, of course. I happened to have a never-worn-before salmon coloured dress lying around so... TONG CHIANG NEW YEAR, HERE I COME CAME!!

Ok, don't freak out. I'm not a vamp with no skin colour. That picture was just massively photoshopped to show you the most accurate colour of the dress. =) But still not very accurate lah. I think it actually looks a bit more happy and orange-y in the sunlight. Like so:

But significantly less luminous and jeng jeng, of course. :-/

The dress ends above the knee and has two pockets on each side that I love, love, love to the max cos I think that dresses with pockets are designers' greatest gift to women. *all hail pockets* It was really, really comfortable, too. Definitely a good buy with zero regrets on my part. *pats self on back* *twice* Unfortunately, I have no frontal picture to show you (again) cos I don't have a full-length mirror in my KL room. Boo hoo. Maybe I should get one. Hmmm... #itchybackside

Do you see the pocket on the bottom-right above my blog add??? =p

Nordic Prints

They've never really been my thing when the came to fashion. Always thought they looked a little too much like the granny knitted sweaters I used to wear when I was a kid without any taste or fashion sense whatsoever. Haha. But that was before I ter-found this dress at Nichii during my last trip back to Penang:

Front view via Photobooth, but just of the top. Please excuse
the tired face. Picture was taken after I got home from work.

Me in my nordic print dress for the first time today.

Sorry lah. No full length mirror in my KL room so cannot take a frontal shot to show you. But its not like I didn't try, ok? I took a few more pictures in different angles, in an effort to display the whole dress but... tak jadi lah.

Focus become the toilet bowl instead. -_-'''

SINGLE PEOPLE, APPRECIATE YOUR SINGLEHOOD! It means that you still get FREE money from people without having to do anything at all!! Those days are good days that don't last very long. (Unless you're doomed to a lifetime of bachelorhood / spinsterhood lah. @_@ CHOI!) After marriage? YOU GIVE! And you keep giving and giving and giving and giving until...

Aiyah, die also cannot give finish wan lah. -_-'''

When Two Or Three Are Gathered...

...girls talk.

Yes, we do. Whether we're friends or acquaintances; whether we're single, married or mummy-fied (harhar) we talk. And to be honest with you, I've never really felt a disconnect between me and my single friends or my friends who are married with kids, whether before I got married, or after I got married myself. But a mummy-fied friend of mine said something today that made me think.

You see, we were comparing notes
about ang pow-giving systems when this
popped into my conversation thread:

Really? :-/

Because I personally think that my single friends and I still talk just fine. Sure, I may not have all the time in the world to chill and hang out like I used to because, hey, I'm married and I've got a significant other to spend time with, care for and go home to. BUT... in terms of topics of conversation, there are still many to pick from whenever my single friends and I meet.

The bond that is built from having common interests, shared pastimes and having once walked the beaten path together is far stronger than the differences we have when it comes to marital status, no? Or am I just kidding myself by thinking that everything's the same when it's not? :-/ I thought it was only strangers that needed paperwork similarities to bond over; not true friends.

First Day Back At MCKL
