Eager Beaver

It's great when soon-to-be-wed couples look forward to their upcoming nuptials. But I personally think that it's extra nice and super heart-warming when it's the MAN who is eager to wed. =)

And even better when you personally know a man like that. =)

CONGRATULATIONS, Mr & Mrs Hee!
Can't wait for your wedding on the 31st.

Be seein' ya,

I Am Overexcites!

Overexcites over what is arguably
my favourite fruit in the world. <3

AND I HAVE 1KG OF IT! =D

What better reason to camwhore like crazy than the fact that the 1KG's worth of cherries I ordered from Posing Queen's papa have just arrived, right??? =p

Yup. I think Imma go home tonight
and camwhore summore. Bwahahahaha.

Back To Black... And White

Toned it down a little today compared to yesterday's burst of colour. Ok, so I toned it down a lot. Hahaha. Whateverrr... Black and white for the win! Fuah!

My I'm-Working-On-A-Public-Holiday Outfit

While everybody was still in bed, sleeping the morning of a public holiday away, I was getting ready for work. How blah did that feel? Very blah, thank you for asking. So since I wasn't feeling as ecstatic about working on everybody else's day off, I figured I should at least dress the way I want to feel.

Before leaving for work.

My super bright, happy and colourful outfit
for the day, to chase the blahs away. =p

And I think it worked.

Cos at the end of the day, I looked like this:

Before leaving the workplace.

Not too bad for an employee who would have wanted to sleep in on her day off instead, right? I imagine I could have looked a lot worse. Hahaha. Anyway, I Photoboothed those pictures and then my phone beeped. Uh-oh. 7PM already! That meant that I was going to be late for dinner with Melhung! Haha. Whoops. That girl knows me well. Eh, dun judge. At least I never FFK. =p

Important Status Message

I confess that I usually don't read status messages. Cos they're... well, often boring, pretty much pointless, somewhat personal and 100% narcissistic. But today, I chanced upon a status message that caught my eye. It had my name in it!

Hahaha. Poor woman couldn't reach me by Gtalk or by SMS so she status-messaged me instead to make sure she doesn't end up sitting at Matsuki alone tonight. =p

Post-Wedding Rants

Why do I have to end up doing it myself when I have already paid you to do it better? Why do I have to see things you should have seen way earlier; and notice things you should have noticed, too? Why do I have to do the work you were totally paid to do; and pick up the mess you were so not hired to leave behind? WHY??? If you think this is fair to me, you're kidding yourself. Cos it's not. And no, I'm not being a difficult customer. >(

New Name

Today, for the very first time,
a stranger called me Mrs K.

You see, last weekend, The Husband ordered a brand new pair of glasses from one of the malls in Penang. But since his lens was to be some super-duper-uber, NASA-approved, unbreakable, space-shuttle lens, it couldn't be ready in the 1 hour it usually takes for a typical pair of glasses to be ready. So he told the saleswoman, "It's okay. My wife is here in Penang so she can collect it for me. You call her, ok?" Obviously the woman said, "Ok," and before I knew it, my number was on the receipt.

Well, today rolled along and at 6.30PM, my phone rang.
Unknown number. Without thinking much about it,
I picked up the call and asked, "Hello?"

"Mrs K, issit?" came the reply.

For awhile there, I was speechless. The name was definitely familiar. In fact, I recognised it all too well. But it felt so strange answering to a name I've witnessed countless others call my MIL a million times before! Mrs K. A part of me felt guilty. Like I was eavesdropping on a conversation I should not be listening to. Or like I was committing identity fraud and was personality-jacking my own MIL's identity. Haha. Weird but true.

Then my head snapped back on and I continued the conversation with my brain barely half connected, "Yes?" "Hi, Mrs K, I'm calling from bla bla bla optical shop. Your husband's glasses ready already ya? You can come collect anytime," the lady said. "Ok," I replied. Still semi-stunned. And then... I started smiling. To myself. In the middle of the empty office corridor. Mrs K. Haha. New name. Just a month and a week old. Gotta start getting used to it. =)
