SuperM!

Ladies and gentlemen of the online world, I would like to announce that Duh Roads and I have become proud parents! Our pet project has officially been born and introduced to the MCKL world! Wheee!

Ok, I know I look spastic here.
Next picture dun wan show face.

Nah.

Can say, can do.
Half face can consider no face.

Hahaha.

So, yeah. The official MCKL company trip's t-shirt is our baby. Hello, dear people of MCKL, if you're wearing your SuperM! t-shirt in Phuket, YOU'LL BE WEARING OUR BABY!!! RAWR!

Lamé is there for fun only. She didn't contribute to the baby-making. But nevermind. Since Duh Roads and I are such nice people, we close one eye. Haha. One more time, SuperM! style! Power to the people!

Tene nene! Tene nene!

Funny realisation to have
after 3 years of working together, huh?

Found A Little Solace

Last night was a beautiful night. Cool breeze, rustling leaves, pale moonlight, streaming through the trees. It would have been the perfect night to just sit by the pool, and listen to the lapping of the water on the tiles and the low humming of the filter.

But the brutality of Monday ensured that I remained in the confines of my room. So I did the next best thing I could with whatever energy I had left. I rolled up the blinds, flung open the windows and just stood there. Enjoying the sweeping chills of the night with my eyes half-closed. Ahhh, heaven.

I went back to my bedside table to pick up Mitch Albom's Have A Little Faith – the only other non-fiction piece the man wrote after his international best-seller, Tuesday's With Morrie. (Loved the latter for its many gems of quotes and lessons. Oh, and I conveniently hijacked the former from The Owner, by the way.)

Book in hand, I walked back to where the breezes blew and started reading. Before I knew it, an hour had passed. Wow, I thought I was tired. And truth be told, I was. But beautiful nights don't quite come by often enough. So when they're present, you take time out to enjoy them. No matter how busy your day, no matter how tired you are.

Killer Monday

Was so busy today it wasn't at all funny.

Thought working over the weekend would make today less of a pain but... No. No such luck. Not for kulis like me. Sure, Small Boss liked the work and was pleased with what had been done. But a working weekend's worth of difference, there was none. Still ended up having to rush to put the finishing touches in preparation for presso from morning right till the last minute before the team had to leave for the client's place at 3.30PM. Didn't even manage to sneak in lunch till 6-plus PM, after presso. Was pretty pleased it went well though. Although I can't say that my growling stomach felt the same way at the time. Tapau-ed a Turkey Breast Sub on the way back to The Office and had a rushed 15-minute lunch-slash-tea-slash-dinner while Sausage Boy breathed down my neck. Why? Cos I was due for another briefing-storming session with the team in Room 3. And the pain continues. Looking for that JR was considerably tough though. No thanks to the pile of FAs that were sitting on my table waiting for my signature. Shit. Another pain to deal with. But no time to rant or rave. Not then. Not till now. So, first things first. The FAs would just have to wait. So, I left the pile and proceeded to 'act present' at the meeting I was expected for. I think I looked dazed and glassy eyed for the most part. Haha. Was so out of it I must have yawned a bazillion times in the seemingly endless hour of discussion. Think I made sense throughout though. Although, to be honest, I can't be a hundred percent sure. Hmmm. Anyways, got out and finally had time to go through the pile of FAs. Made some changes, spoke to the suit-in-charge, spoke to Traffic, left a message, then proceeded to pack up in a hurry. Had to make a quick exit before I collapse from exhaustion. Sigh. What a terrible, terrible way to start the week. -_-'''

But whatever. Day's over.

Right now, all I want to do is snuggle up
to a warm body and fall into a deep sleep.

p/s: I realise I said, "...though. Although,..." twice in this post but... I just really couldn't be bothered to do any rephrasing right now. Brain's dead so, g'night folks. Dreamland beckons.

Girly Day Out Update

Getting all pruned up was like, so an hour ago.

*flips chlorine-bleached hair*

The now famous Duh Roads and I.

Right now, we're washed up, dressed up (more like dressed down, really – haha) and ready for dinner and Date Night at Cineleisure, The Curve. Here we go! Wheee!

Once You Pop, You Can't Stop

Pringles knows my vice all too well cos I'm your typical once-popper-non-stopper with a host of other inedible stuff, too. As you guys have probably already seen from yesterday's post, I finished putting up my brand-spanking-new Twitter and Facebook buttons yesterday. But...

Tossed and turned, then itched to tinkle all night so I just got up this morning and went straight to working on the other remaining non-button-ed buttons on my sidebar. Just so everything looks like they belong together lah, you know? (I'm a sucker when it comes to main matching-matching lah ok. Deal with it.)

So? Whaddaya think?

I know they're images but don't worry about it slowing down loading time. I made sure I kept the file sizes small-ish. But to be extra sure, I also cleared away a bunch of other not-heng-anymore nonsense from my sidebar so loading time can't be much different than before. In fact, I don't know if it's psychological or not lah, but I think Tinki Talks now loads in less time than it did before. Yay! =)

I tested it on all 4 browsers on my Mac – Mozilla Firefox 3.6.3, Google Chrome 5.0.342.9 beta, Mac Safari 4.0.5 (5531.22.7), as well as Opera 9.27. (Yes, I'm a browser junkie.) They all worked fast and fine. Just like I hoped they would. =)

As for you IE peeps, sorry but I don't use IE so I can't say if you guys will face any problems with slow loading. But then again, why are you still on IE? It's so yesterday. If loading is slow, I'd blame the browser. Not my widdle, pweddy, new blog buttons. =p

DAISO Rocks Socks!

I'm weak. I didn't fight the fall. I succumbed. I gave in to temptation. I walked straight into the lion's den. And ate of the forbidden fruit. Must have loved it a great deal, too. Cos two weekends ago, I exited the store with not one, but TWO purchases! =D

Japanese stationary is just too pretty to use lah. Haha. Even so, how anybody can ever resist buying them is beyond me. And for as little as RM5 per pack? No way! I remember a time when these pretty pieces of paper were only to be lusted over but never possessed cos of their ridiculous prices. Not anymore! Not with DAISO! =)

Then the other thing I bought was an ice-cream mould. Kinda sorta. It's just ice-cream shaped plastic containers with happy-coloured handles.

Like so.

Tried it out with Ribena last week.

This was what I got:

Damn nice!

Maybe I'll give it another shot with 100-Plus or Jolly Shandy next. I'm keeping my fingers crossed in hopes that it doesn't explode in my freezer or something. Haha. We'll see. If I start talking about doing fridge shopping, you know why.

I love shopping at DAISO!

Blog Housekeeping

I planned on working on this for the longest time now but just never actually sat down and got to it. Till tonight. Look below or look right.
