Banana leaf rice for lunch was a bad choice. Haha. Bad, BAD choice. *groan* I've got tonnes of work due, it's already 3PM, but my blasted eyes refuse to stay open. Bodoh! And even when they do, the words on my screen are doing the Macarena. HAIH!

Take It All In

It'd been raining all night. So heavily, in fact, that I found myself stranded at KFC. You see, I parked outside and I forgot all about bringing my trusty, black, Snoopy umbrella down with me cos I was too busy racing Duh Roads for yummy Hot & Spicy (ribs only, thankyouverymuch). And that was before I remembered she prefers Original Recipe, of course.


Finally made it back to the office an hour or so later and got to tapping the keys and clicking the mouse. Watched fireworks go boom boom boom for all of 15 minutes and then went back to tapping and clicking. And by that, I meant snapping pictures of the back of my head and blogging about it. Left the office a little before 3AM and enjoyed a quiet ride home with just my thoughts for company.


When I stepped out of the car after coming home from a seemingly endless Monday at work, the night air was still damp and cool. And it smelt of firework smoke. I could even see the smoke where streetlights pierced through the dust. Nice. I took in a deep breath. Ahhh, I love nights like these. Makes a hard day worth every single thing you put into it. Especially when I get to walk into the house accompanied by the chirping of crickets I hear but don't see.

COMMENT: Not too bad for a first shot lah, kan? I actually think it may be the best of the lot. Haha. Pakai hentam pun klip I boleh masuk frame. Kira ok lah! Pass dengan warna berterbangan lagi. =p

COMMENT: My hand got shaky this time. Bah. Cannot even see the hair one strand one strand. Haih. So super kaulat sat pai.

COMMENT: Better lah, this wan, from the one before. But comparatively, Back-Of-Head Hair Shot #1 still beats this one flat. The colour there nicer also. So... no pass.

COMMENT: I like this one, too. Took it this way and didn't bother flipping it right side up cos I kinda like it upside down. Think it's a close second to Back-Of-Head Hair Shot #1. =)

sprained right arm and dislocated shoulder.

The Horizon Dances To Red, Green And Yellow

The entire town just got thrown into smoky glory. All cos of about a gazillion colourful bombs that were thrown into the air. Wheee!

Did you guys see 'em??? They went on for about an hour, I believe! Caught sight of a puny little burst in the distance while I was walking back to my workspace after talking deep deep with Penang Cai. Seeing that, I immediately ran up to Duh Roads and made her stand up to witness burst #2. Haha. Sharing is caring.


We then went out to the balcony to take in the sights and sounds of brilliant fireworks without a glass pane between us and them. After about 10 minutes or so (yes yes, the firework display went on for ages!!!), I slapped myself on the forehead and rushed back inside to grab my mobile-slash-camera. (How could I have forgotten!?!) Snapped a few pics, decided it was as good as it was ever gonna get with a mobile phone camera, then relaxed and stood by, watching the horizon dance to colour till it smoked. =)


And then, as I stood watching the fireballs go boom boom boom from the balcony of The Office, I wondered to myself: Why am I stuck at work on a night like this? Has it all really begun again? The late nights, the crazy deadlines, the never-ending JRs to complete?

Perhaps it has.

It's Snowing

Halfway across the world, snow is falling. And my favourite boys there tell me that it's been that way all day. How nice. I've never seen snow before, much less touched it. And with these things, dreams don't quite count, do they? Sigh. Makes me wish the sky sprinkled tiny, white specks here, too. Or... I could just wish that I were there instead.

Sigh.

If only wishes came true. =(

Cos I just woke up from 10 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Can you believe that??? TEN! Yay, me! Now, it's time to do something productive. Like watch a movie. Or some eps of Samantha Who? (Thanks again, Dillon!) Tee hee.
