TGIF... Again?

So, yet another Friday has rolled around. 7 days since the last. That means a whole week has passed me by. And boy, what a week it was. Sigh. How do you deal with days that suck? Sucky days that turn into sucky weeks. And sucky weeks that turn into suckier fortnights. Suckier fortnights that turn into... No, not yet. No, never.

Ah, I'm sure it won't be too long till life gets peachy again for me. The time will come when I'll be able to appreciate the sunrise and smile at sundown again. When I can finally look back at these difficult past couple of weeks and laugh at the memory of it all. That day will come. Maybe not today. Perhaps not tomorrow. (Although a girl can hope.) But definitely someday.

Right now? Just gotta suck it up,
toughen up, and put my game face on.

Sigh.

TGIF

I'm so glad it's Friday. Actually, I'm just glad another day has passed. Glad that the days are slowly but surely going by with every tick of the clock and every flip of the calendar. Sigh. Life has been difficult lately. I wake up wondering what the day will bring, and I go to bed wishing I could just sleep through the night without waking up over and over again.

I can't wait to feel better.
I can't wait to be better.

It has really been a difficult couple of weeks for me to deal with physically and emotionally. But I take heart in the knowledge that every day that passes is one less day that lies before me, and one less day for me to worry and fret about come tomorrow. One day down, who knows how many more to go, but still... one day down, one day at a time.

I just have to remind myself that this will all be over soon. (Although never soon enough.) Remind myself that everything I'm going through now will be worth it in the end, and it will be worth so much more than the suffering I experience now. Every frustrated tear today can only result in a million happy smiles tomorrow. That is what I have to remember. For this, too, shall pass.

Bond Of Brothers

In recent weeks, on so many levels, I have observed and come to realise that, at the end of the day – surprisingly – the bond between brother and sister trumps the bond between parent and child any day. And while I understand the concept and mentally grasp the undying intensity of that bond, it is unfortunate that it is something I will never come to experience myself. =(

Public Vs. Private

Some days I look at my friends' emotional outbursts on their Facebook status updates and wonder: What the heck were they thinking writing that and putting it up there for all the world to see, judge and criticise?!

But on other days, I just wish I had the guts and enough care-nots in my system to be as blunt, as open and as vocal about my problems (and about the people in my life who directly or indirectly cause them) as those friends of mine are. Sigh.

some really big stuff in days to come. =)

Under The Weather

Hi, blog readers! WAZZZUPPP??? I know my posts have been sporadic of late but... no, I haven't forgotten you, nor have I chosen to deliberately ignore you. I just haven't had time to really entertain you cos... well, I've been feeling crappy of late. T_T Like real crappy. T___T Like this much crappy ---> T_________T

Anyway, I'm hoping and praying that I'll get better and will start feeling like myself again soon (or at least sooner rather than later) so... here's to a better, brighter, happier, healthier tomorrow for all of us (especially me), ok? Cheers! Till next time, I'll be missing you. Miss me, too!

Gifts From Taiwan!

Mama and Papa came home bearing gifts from their week-long trip abroad. I got a pretty pastel plaid shirt and a super cute tee to boot. *see below* The Husband got two Muji shirts. (Not shown.) And we got a cute little award-winning tea pot for our home in KL. *also pictured below* Yay, us! And double yay to gifts! =D

 My plaid shirt and tee.

Super cute caped crusaders in pastel!!!

Another Wedding To Attend

And this time, it's the wedding of my second oldest friend in the world. A girl my age whom I went to kindergarten with, went to primary school with, kept in touch all through secondary school with (even before the days of Facebook, Friendster and mobile phones!), and went to college with.

Yup, that's what you get with 20-something years of friendship. Haha. A journey through the many different stages of life where you get to see the other during their worst and their best times. Well, school's over. Now, it's time for us to grow up, get married and start families of our own.

She attended my wedding on the 9th of July last year,
and on the 5th of May this year, I'll be attending hers. =)

Only The Husband's slightly offended at being referred to
as "and Partner" instead of "and Husband". HAHAHA.

Torture By Means Of Tease

Baking is seriously the worst form of
self-inflicted torture when you're hungry.

Tuna Mac & Cheese baking in the oven.

You can see it, you can smell it,
but no, you can't have it. T_T

San Francisco On Paper

Waaay too free, but also waaay too cool.

Loved the light-hearted instrumental injected with
carefree laughter playing in the background, too. =)

Movie Madness

I've been craving lots of passive entertainment of late. Entertainment that doesn't require me to move about lots or use much energy. Shopping? Too much walking. Full-on hanging out? Too much talking. What I really want to do is sit down with a good book. Or watch an episode of a good sitcom. Or catch a movie. Nothing more. And I'm pleased to say that in this fortnight alone, I've done plenty of all three. =)

But this post is only about movies. OBVIOUSLY.

So here are the 3 movies I've watched
in recent days and what I think about them.

Watched this one night two weeks ago with The Husband. The man super gungho wanna watch at the time but I think in the end, I enjoyed it better than he did. HAHA. A little bit of fact, a little bit of fiction; little bit of action, a little bit of drama; a little bit of comedy, a little bit of romance. Wait... what?!? Romance?? Yup, you read right! ROMANCE, BRUDDER! Everything revolves around luuurrrvvveeee. But seriously speaking, it's a pretty good in-between movie to satisfy both, the guys and the girls. Wouldn't watch it again, not totally memorable, but good entertainment all the same. =)

-------------------

WORST MOVIE OF ALL THREE MOVIES I WATCHED. No eye candy. No great plot. No engaging storyline. IMHO, nothing great whatsoever. They should have just ended the series with Clash Of The Titans cos that last one was a heck of a lot more interesting than this one. Summore this time around, the main guy macam older already. Fatter summore. So much shabbier, too. Alamak. Balik kampung jual taugeh lah, thank you very much. Oh, and if you think it's cos I'm a girl and I only watched it for the sweaty, half naked dudes that's why I'm disappointed, you're wrong. Even The Husband said it was lame. Hah!

-------------------

I CRIED WATCHING THIS ONE! Haha. Having said that, I would suggest that you make a girly day out of The Vow and catch it with your girlfriends instead dragging your significant other there in chains. Your man will thank you for it. =p But ahh... Two well-suited leads, a based-on-a-true-story storyline soaked in love and dripping with romance (or the lack of it – jeng jeng!) – what more can you ask for in a chick flick?? It's not THE BESTEST OF THE BEST, but I'd say this is another one of those classic, heart-wrenching love stories us girls will love crying to over and over again like A Walk To Remember, A Little Bit Of Heaven, and The Notebook. It really is no surprise that I enjoyed watching this one best. =)

eSpring Water Purifier From AMWAY

Yesterday, The Husband coughed up a chunk of money for a good water filter for our home here in KL. (We've just been drinking boiled tap water so far. -_-''') And he rolled up his sleeves, got his hands dirty wet and fixed it up for me, too! =D

Our new water filter – eSpring from AMWAY.

To be honest, we were ding-donging back and forth between filters for awhile. Filtered? Alkaline? Oxygenated? OMG, it was crazy just going through the pros and cons of either option! But after doing more research and speaking to a Biochemist friend, we finally decided on eSpring from AMWAY.

eSpring Water Purifier is the ONLY water purifying system IN THE WORLD that has its technology (UV Light Tech, Multi-Stage Carbon Block Filter, Monitor Technology), as well as its accreditation and certification (from WHO). And no surprise, too, cos it doesn't just treat the water you drink, it purifies it.

Chlorine, Lead, THMs and more than 140 contaminants are removed as 99.99% of water-bourne, disease-causing bacteria and viruses are destroyed. Most amazingly,  eSpring it does a heck of a clean up job without removing beneficial minerals from your water, such as Calcium, Magnesium and Fluoride.

 High tech insides.

I believe we made the right choice.

Best part is, it does the job without
costing an arm and a kidney. SCORE! =D

Our brand new eSpring the morning after installation. =)

Persistence Pays

Even if it means being an annoying
pain in the a** sometimes. =p

But give me face lah. I'm really tired of coughing up an average of RM11 for parking each time I'm at MCKL. And especially now that I'm *cough* older and *cough cough* less able to walk the distance in the hot mid-day sun, Imma hunt Ben Ng up there dowwwwnnnn for his EXTRA parking card. Yup, you read right! The man has, not one, but TWO parking cards! >( I think it's time I had one of 'em... Tene nene. Tene nene. Operation Annoying PITA is ON, bay-beh!
