Always wanted to get them printed but never actually got around to actually doing it cos of every lame excuse under the sun. -_-''' But on Monday, I found out that the FujiFilm outlet at Axis has a 29 sen promo every 29th of the month! BLARDEE CHEAP! So, since I'm so cheapskate my days here are numbered, I finally got off my heavy behind and got them (and a whole bunch of other rockin' pix) printed. Big time double woot moment, guys! =D

There's just something about prints, duncha think? It's like it's got that extra... thing that digital pictures lack. A physical form? Maybe. 'Touchability'? Perhaps. I can't pinpoint what it is exactly but it's just... amazing. Totally gets me delirious. Beside myself with joy. Don't believe me? Ask Lamé. She saw me on my photo-high this morning. Haha.

These are but 4 of the 66 I printed for myself. I'd go home and fill frames but... hey, I'm headed South tonight! Woo hoo! Singapore, here I comeee!

Singapore Is Killing Me

Stupid exchange rate so damn high.
Go there wash plate already lah. T_T

Splash Of Colour

Time to change!

So many happy, no? =)

Random Nonsense Found In Storage

My Photobooth folder is a real treasure chest of 640 x 480 static-type ridiculousness. Haha. Found these hot on the heels of the last bunch.

We like smelly food!!! =)

Boobs Vs. Brains

In spite of what Small Boss said to his team of writers, we all know the truth: It's better to be blessed with a modest rack and good brains, than to be born brainless with huge jugs. Cos whatever the argument or preference, today, The Senior Writer made a good point:

"You can fake boobs but you can't fake brains."
– The Senior Writer, 28 April 2010

4A Misai

Was sorting through some of my Photobooth pictures when I found some old pictures that Duh Roads and I took the week before the MCKL team left for Phuket. Check out the team's uber cool, super high-tech name-slash-bag tags.

Duh Roads with her own tag and me with Lamé's tag.

That's what you get when you leave
the preparation of pretty stuff to boys.

-_-'''

But what the hew.
Duh Roads and I still got
a kick outta the tags. =p

And since she thought we didn't look horrid enough with puckered lips, she suggested that further exaggeration of our already-horrid state would be nice for pictures.

Oh, yeah. This is what hotness looks like.

Returning The Favour

What? You think I only take and don't give back? Tau masuk tak tau keluar? Puh-leeze. I not liddat type of a person okayyy. I got give back, too! And this time, I bear gifts from Cameron Highlands!

Stuff I bought Duh Roads and Lamé
when I was at Cameron Highlands.

And that's Duh Roads and I with Sochews! It's been ages since I've seen any of these around. So, when I caught sight of them at a shop in Brinchang, I went crazy and bought all colours/flavours available – grape, apple, strawberry, pink guava and orange. =) Oh, and I bought the girls tiny fishes on wooden clips, too. Just for kicks cos they looked real cute.

What is the correlation
between fishes and Camerons?

I don't know. Don't ask.

Anyways, here's one more for the road:

Duh Roads looking very unprepared. =p

p/s: There were some other things I bought the girls (i.e. chocolate mint tea and some random IQ puzzles that are pretty cool) but they look a lot less pretty and colourful so I didn't bother taking pictures.

Me Has Gots New Dress Dress!

Yesterday, Duh Roads and Lamé surprised me with the wonderfullest pressie from the MCKL company trip to Phuket that they attended.

Me with my gift and my two gift-givers. =)

They got me a dress! Yay! And it's sooo comfortable! Double yay! And it's in teal, too! I love teal! I tried it on at the office – couldn't resist lah – and I must say... I love, love, love it!

...even if Botak doesn't. -_-'''

Thanks, girls! =) You both rock my sox!
And my growing wardrobe loves you a lot a lot! =p

XOXO,
Pam Song

p/s: We all know Botak got no taste. =p

Long Day

4 recordings. 2 TVCs.
2 radio scripts. 1 approval.

Sigh.

I so can't wait for today to end.

But on a happier note...

2 writers and 1 producer in a recording studio.

At least I work with friends. =)

Cameron Highlands, April '10: Got Camera, Must Camwhore

Remember this picture?

Click here to jump to original post.

Well, it's but one from a set of many snaps.

*grin*

I took 20 shots all in all. (Eh, I know of other camwhore addicts who take like, a bazillion more pictures than me lorrrr! *defensive*) But like Dee says, digital cameras have changed the landscape of photography altogether. No way could I or would I have taken this many similar-ish pictures of myself if I was shooting on film. Boy, am I glad times have changed. All hail technological advancement! All hail digital photography!

Ok, enough about that.
Here are a few I kinda like.

Enjoying the wind in my face.

Don't you worry. My camera wasn't at all out of the window though it looks like it was. It was my right hand that was holding the G1's body; not my left. Haha. Optical illusion! =p

Actually, these look fine considering the circumstances cos it's actually no easy task taking pictures with the windows open in a speeding car that's racing downhill. Not like Cameron Highlands has the smoothest, straightest roads lah, you know? -_-'

But as much as some pictures make it,
there are others that do go wrong.

Hair in my face.

Pursing my lips to keep the hair out of my mouth
and sitting further in so I'm out of Wind's way.

Now do you see why I needed to take 20 shots?? =p
But it's all good cos bloopers can be cool sometimes.

Had my finger on the capture button when Dee took a corner so I accidentally snapped this one. Fluke shot but... I like it! Think I'll use it as my new FB profile pic. Even though I look a little cock-eyed. =)

The Owner, locked out of his own home.

Sorry lah but I really couldn't resist publishing this one. Immediately ran to grab the Lumix G1 (this kind of stuff calls for DSLR-standard pictures; cannot just settle for camera phone =p) when it happened. Then proceeded to snap to my heart's content before I let him back out. Haha. Too good a pic to let up, duncha think? =p

Accident-Prone

Killer bruises seem to be my thing.

Kisah Satu Malam

Semalam itu airkon tada guna. Ada airkon, macam tada airkon. Ada angin, tada sejuk. Buka airkon, masih mau buka fan. Tak buka, tak boleh tiduk. Dalam, rasa manyak tak syok. Otak pikir sangat rugi. Pakai lektrik, macam bazir. Semua buka, masih tada selesa. Macam mana? Diam diam tutup mata buat buat tiduk itu macam. Harap boleh tipu badan lupakan panas. -_-'''

Internet Downtime From 25 April - 2 May 2010

Shan't say much cos our Internet's reportedly going to be slow from now till May 2nd. (Like it isn't on every other day already anyways. *rolls eyes*) So, I guess I'm just gonna make it a quick one to save us all from the pain and agony of snail-paced connectivity.

Nights, peeps.

Cameron Highlands, April '10: Bug Blogging

Every trip up to Cameron Highlands never fails to open my eyes to new, amazing creatures that simply blow my mind. Check out the green on this beautiful little fellow I saw sitting on the faux white leather couch this morning.

God's design – always a wonder.
How can I not be amazed?

And if so much effort and attention-to-detail was put into the creation of an insect no bigger than my thumb nail, how much more of God's attention do you think was placed on the making of you and me? The very ones who were made in His image.

Cameron Highlands, April '10: Them Tiny Flying Things

My afternoon tea at Ye Ole Smokehouse yesterday was stressful at parts no thanks to the rain. Cos the rain drove the sparrows indoors. -_-''' As though it isn't bad enough that they made it through the great flood, they just had to fly in and invade my tea time, too. Feddup. But ah, whatever lah. At least I got a few good shots out of it.

Noisy chirpers, this bunch were.
Non-stop chirp-chirp here and there only.

Beh tahan.

But I liked the shots. =)

Cameron Highlands, April '10: Devilishly Delish Devonshire Cream Tea

If there's one place my parents and I never ever EVER miss going to (what a sinful thought!) whenever we're up the hill, it's Ye Ole Smokehouse. Not cos of its garden – which is very pretty, by the way – or its English-styled accommodation – which is unbelievably expensive, too – but for its unbeatable Devonshire Cream Tea Set.

No need to see the inside of the menu lah, ok? So expensive, you see also won't go although I recommend. -_-' Now, you can just bluff yourself into thinking it's affordable and worth the price you think you should be paying cos of the no-frills-no-trills pictures you'll see below. -_-'''

Two sets of scones, some jam and some to-die-for Devonshire cream.
Oh, and half the bottom of the teapot our Cameronian tea came in.

Don't be deceived by its humble appearance, dear friends. Take my word for it, it was Heaven on Earth. Yums! Too bad this next dish spoilt it all.

Bangers and mash.

Wrong order on our part lah, seriously. The brown sauce wasn't spectacular, the mash was lumpy, the sausages were tendon-y and the onions were smelly. (That last one probably only applies to me.) Sigh. And since we were already on a roll, we also made the second mistake of leaving that for last cos we thought that finishing off with something savoury after all that yummy sweetness would be good.

-_-'

Wrong move lah.

So, if you ever decide to pay Ye Ole Smokehouse of Cameron Highlands a visit, remember this word of advice from Pam Song of Tinki Talks:

Stick to the Devonshire Cream Tea Set
...and leave Bangers and Mash alone.

.
.
.
.

But the place very nice to camwhore
so go ahead and do lots of that. =p

Mee and I.

Dee was behind the camera so, no pictures of him with us. And urm... the only other pic of him worth posting, he saw and banned me from putting it up. So, too bad lah. Plus, it was drizzling most of the time so we didn't bother taking any outdoor shots like we usually do. At all the same spots. Every year. Cos we're creative that way. -_-'''

Oh, and this is me asking Mee for the camera back
and her snapping with me caught unawares.

Show you pictures of very little, very cute
but also very disgusting birdies next.

Cameron Highlands, April '10: The KUL-IPH Journey

It is with much SS-ness that I announce to you, the fact that I'm blogging right from the comfort of the regular time-sharing apartment my family always books for these relaxing weekends away. No more pathetic Starbucks visits for me! No, siree! Not with Dee's super-speed data line and PDA with WiFi Router capabilities. Tee hee.

Ok, back to the subject at hand.

Left KL not-so-early in the morning to make it to Ipoh in time for lunch with the folks who were to meet me there from the other end of the Semenanjung. And since The Owner had leave to burn, he played driver. This is a picture of us just minutes after our not-so-early departure:

Believe it or not, he actually posed for that pic. Haha. Maybe he thinks that the lansi, nose-in-the-air look is in with chicks these days.

I'm just sayin'. =p

I believe he also thinks that my female readers – I'm 100% sure he knows I'll blog the pictures when I took them – will fall for boys who like to draw attention to their man boobs when posing for pictures.

Again, I'm just sayin'. =p

Stay tuned. I've got me more posts with pichas coming up in the next couple of days. (Maybe even tonight!) After all, I've got nothing but time to waste up here where I am. =)

Just Saying 'Hi'

...from Cameron Highlands. =)

Button Testing In Progress

"You're testing my buttons!"

That's what Beyoncé indignantly said to me yesterday, after her mid-afternoon rant. (See what some colleagues of mine put me through?? I have to listen to them rant, then I have to listen to them complain about me summore! Tsk tsk. No shame, I tell you.)

But hmmm....

Testing my patience – I tau. Pushing my buttons – I also tau. But testing my buttons!? What talking she??? Haha. England tak boleh pakai lah ni mia pum-puan. =p

In Christ Alone

Artist: Brian Littrell
Song Title: In Christ Alone

I apologise for being unable to provide you a visually-pleasing
version of this track but take my word for it, even with just
white text on a plain teal background, it's worth a click.

In Christ alone will I glory
Though I could pride myself in battles won
For I’ve been blessed beyond measure
And by His strength alone I’ll overcome
Oh, I could stop and count successes
Like diamonds in my hands
But those trophies could not equal
To the grace by which I stand

[CHORUS]
In Christ alone I place my trust
And find my glory in the power of the cross
In every victory, let it be said of me
My source of strength, my source of hope
Is Christ alone

In Christ alone do I glory
For only by His grace I am redeemed
For only His tender mercy
Could reach beyond my weakness to my need
And now I seek no greater honour
In just to know Him more
And to count my gains but losses
To the glory of my Lord

[CHORUS]
In Christ alone I place my trust
And find my glory in the power of the cross
In every victory, let it be said of me
My source of strength, my source of hope
In Christ alone I place my trust
And find my glory in the power of the cross
In every victory, let it be said of me
My source of strength, my source of hope
Is Christ alone
Is Christ alone

"In Christ alone will I glory
Though I could pride myself in battles won
For I’ve been blessed beyond measure
And by His strength alone I’ll overcome
Oh, I could stop and count successes
Like diamonds in my hands
But those trophies could not equal
To the grace by which I stand"

Sometimes I wonder why we strive so hard for things in the natural when what's far greater, lies in the supernatural. Why the bother to struggle with sucky schedules, lousy pay cheques, horrible jobs and bad relationships? Whatever for, when all that won't matter come The End? Or do they matter in ways I haven't come to realise yet?

Will what I do today matter tomorrow?
Well, if I'm doing the right things – yes.

The many hours I spend at work won't matter. Where I go and where I eventually end up geographically won't matter. The number of people I impress won't matter. The numerical webstats of Tinki Talks today won't matter. Not when the tomorrow of my tomorrows comes.

But that isn't excuse enough to settle
with living in days without significance.

Because the lives I touch where I spend most of my waking hours (at work), matters. Heading for the horizon in every which direction bearing Good News, matters. Making an impression by living in Christ-likeness as best I can, matters. Making a difference in lives I don't even know I've touched with this tiny turf on cyberspace, matters.

It matters now, and it's going to continue to matter
even when the buzzer goes off on this life I lead.

Life's now. And though Eternity's well on her way (but still comfortably far off), we've gotta make the best of what we've got with the time we're given. That's why we strive. That's why we struggle. That's why we bother. That's why we put on a smile no matter how tough the day. That's why we keep kicking under all that water no matter how far under we've gone.

Because as much as what we do now matters,
doing it right is going to matter more.

Our Last Unofficial Baby

The plan.

The result.

Nope, this won't be the last you'll see of Duh Roads. It's also definitely not the last you'll see of me. (Duh!) But for the both of us, this project – SuperM! – is special. Not cos it meant a lot that we got the honour of having the peeps at MCKL wearing our sweat and blood at the upcoming company trip. (We're really not into that kind of thing.) But cos it serves as our very last for-fun piece together. *emo*

-----------

Sweat and blood, babe.
Synchronised sweat and blood.

XOXO,
Pam Song
