Top 3 Jobs You Can't Excel In Without Passion

  1. Doctor / Veterinarian
  2. Minister / Pastor / Missionary
  3. Teacher / Educator / Lecturer

Yup. In that order.

Cos if a teacher / educator / lecturer teaches without passion, nothing really bad (in an eternal sense) happens. Kids just groan at the thought of classes / lectures and fail their papers. End of story.

And if a minister / pastor / missionary reaches out without passion, what happens is... well, nothing. Nobody gets saved, nobody gets healed, and nobody gets raised from the dead. End of story.

But if a doctor / veterinarian attends to the sick (be they human or animal) without passion, love, care and compassion, those patients will either suffer... or die. End of life story.

So if you're itching to be a doc / vet but don't really have the passion or the calling for it, do us all a favour and spare our loved ones the pain and us the worry. Go do something else where it's not life or death you'll be messing with.

Actually I beg to differ, I think it's better off in your order, put in another way: 3, 1, 2

Teachers (as per its title) are people who teaches one right from wrong, good from bad, and not to forget, what passion is about. Teachers these days are mostly money minded, and majority of them don't have passion or the heart to do their duties and responsibilities.

Doctors may need their passion, but they must be firstly shown and taught what passion is about. The person who teachers them? Yes, TEACHERS (parents are somewhat teachers too)

And ministers; being in that position, they should already have in mind and clearly know that passion is the first basis to their work.

As you've mentioned, and I'd like to add: if anyone of the above doesn't know or understand the definition of passion, please call it off. Else, do us a favor and get your heart into your work =)

- Nobody teaches passion. You either have it or you don't.

I'm 2 out of the 3!! Well, sort of... So, where does that put me? :P

Correction. Passion can be picked up along the way; when you've discovered a meaning or realize its importance in some manner.

For example, a kid who is first time being shown about artsy design stuffs, may like it, start his/her own means of trying out, finds out there's something more than meets-the-eyes... That's the start of passion.

Not everyone will initially know what they like or not. Hence, it's the Teachers role to guide them (but they first need to have the passion to teach xD) to realize it.

– That puts you in the Have-To-Be-Extra-Responsible-And-Passionate group. Hahaha.

ATTN: Jeffro
– I personally don't think so. As long as the subject matter is introduced or discovered, it's up to the individual to find out if they're passionate about it or not. Nobody "taught" me to be passionate about blogging. I just am.

Oh, I do hope I live up to that.

Well, not everyone is capable to find that sorta passion... To some, they need to be taught or guided into finding their own passion for things... If one like arts and has a thing for it, he/she should be at least exposed to it first... When a person has a liking towards someone, it doesn't mean he/she realizes it... Hence, the need of a "teacher's" presence =)

– Hahaha. "A liking towards someone"? Ahem ahem. Are we still talking about job passion or... some other kind of passion here, Jeffro? *grin*
