Passion Kuala Lumpur 2008

Chris Tomlin was in town (specifically the Sunway Pyramid Convention Center) with the Passion Band. And I must say that he's not a very 'showman' kinda Worship Leader. It actually took him awhile to get the crowd going. And he seemed to have to really script his words. (Hmmm.) That sorta threw me off and took me by surprise but I guess some people just aren't born to be foremen, huh? No harm done, he's good all the same lah. Loved the songs he sang tonight – Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone), How Great Is Our God, Sing Sing Sing, and Indescribable, amongst others. And his pitching is just awesome!

Artist: Chris Tomlin
Song Title: Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

My chains are gone, I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, amazing grace

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures

My chains are gone, I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, amazing grace

My chains are gone, I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, amazing grace

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forget to shine
But God, Who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine
You are forever mine

"My chains are gone, I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, amazing grace"

Time changes things. And in the event that all things fade away, you can rest in the assurance that these things remain through time: God's never-ending, unfailing, unwavering love for us, His mercy, and His amazing grace. Indeed, how great is our God.

– I actually preferred United. But... Tomlin was good lah. He was. It was the other band that I didn't quite like.

I was on the total opposite side of you. -_-
