I Got Advantage When I Drive. You Got?

It's not about what car you drive,
it's about what number plate your car sports.

Serious.

I'll make understanding my number-plate-vs-locality theory real easy for you. The following equations should give you a general idea of what will (and will not) give you an advantage on the road: -

------------

Foreign Number Plate + Familiar Territory
= Great Advantage

. . .

Local Number Plate + Familiar Territory
= No Particular Advantage or Disadvantage

. . .

Foreign Number Plate + Unfamiliar Territory
= No Particular Advantage or Disadvantage

. . .

Local Number Plate + Unfamiliar Territory
= Great DISadvantage

------------

Let me break it down into digestible chunks for you.
(I tell you, you guys are spoon-fed here, man. Tsk tsk.)

Foreign Number Plate + Familiar Territory
= Great Advantage

As long as you're in familiar territory but drive a non-locally-plated car, you're advantaged cos other road users tend to be nicer to you. Generally, Malaysian road users are kinder towards visitors lah. They honk less when you make mistakes, and they push you off the road less often. Uh, except in Penang. We hate it when foreign number plated cars come into the island. We're pissy that way. We were raised to be selfish with road space. Island mah. Not enough land to go around. Community spirit too strong already so when outsiders show up, we go on the offense to protect our own. However, if you know KL roads but drive a Penang-plated car, you so rock.

Local Number Plate + Familiar Territory
= No Particular Advantage or Disadvantage

or

Foreign Number Plate + Unfamiliar Territory
= No Particular Advantage or Disadvantage

This one either means you just couldn't care less, you drive like an aunty, or that you haven't even been out of the state you were born in. Haha. Drive around much? A bit katak di bawah tempurung, right? Just a bit lah. No offense. *grin*

Local Number Plate + Unfamiliar Territory
= Great DISadvantage

So bodoh. Cari mati. Nuff said.

Haha.

You see, I've found that it pays to drive a foreign-plated car on local ground. It helps in getting away with anything and everything, on the road and off-road. Haha. No kidding. It works for me. (This is one of the rare times it pays for you to TRUST ME so you better suck it up. A chance like this doesn't come by very often. Not with me. Heh heh.)
