Life Has A Sick Sense Of Humour

Albeit a little on the dark side, if you ask me. You see, she plays with ironies. And she absolutely loves satire. She finds so much joy in mocking me and indulging herself in my misery that it's amazing we're still friends, journeying hand in hand.

Okay, so here's the story. There I was looking for an exterminator to rid my place of pests and rodents, large and small. My biggest problem? Rats in the ceiling. After many sleepless nights and more than my fair share of rants and raves to anybody who'd offer me a listening ear, I decided to put my money where my mouth was and HIRE an exterminator. Jeng jeng jeng.

The rats must have smelt my resolve to exterminate them that they disappeared the day after the exterminators came for a look-see. Whoopie! I had a free consultation, AND the rats left on their own! So far so good, sun-shiny days, life's been kind, hardy har har, thankyouverymuch.

And then I got new housemates.

Brilliant people, they are. Really.
(I'm trying very hard to believe that.)

Two months into their stay, they both went out and got a cute (scratch that, it's not), little (small enough to squeeze to a pulp with my bare hands) pet together. Keyword here: Together. It's one of those we-raise-a-rodent-and-pretend-it's-our-kid kinda things. So sweet, right? Not. Look lah!

They got a RAT. The buggers actually went out and got a RAT! They PAID good money for a lousy, slimy, filthy, useless RAT!!! What is the world coming to, I ask you!? This is proof that our education system (after Class of 2001, of course) just isn't doing what it's supposed to do – educate! And as though it isn't enough that we've got rats in our ceiling, we now have rats in OUR living area. (Yes, I'm very territorial. My space is MY space. I need my space.) Rats that we feed AND house, BY CHOICE!

What is the meaning of this lah. So ridiculous. Haih.

Look at that. Yuck.

If only you could see the disgust on my face.

Hmmm. I dunno, man. I'd rather NO rats in the house. And yes, I'd like to dissect them. Need a hand next time? I offer my services.

its a pity you hate cats too...

Ugh. See what I mean by that sick sense of humour? My point exactly.

its cute but very smelly lor...

worst still It could have invited the snake...No joke! Better make sure you sprinkle some sulphur powder around your house.....

Anybody who joins Scout/G-guides long enough should have known this fact...

Pam Song said...

Ya, man. Smelly. Teruk lah. And I dun think they change the wood shavings in the cage very often. That's why it smells. Yuck.

And no lah. Never use sulfur lah. Too mafan. Plus we're in the middle of a city-styled housing estate. No problem wan kua. Never heard of any snake problems here. Plus, if there were to be snakes, with the rats in the ceiling, the snakes should have come a long long time ago. Haha.

you never know wan...snake could come out from the draining system one...

My workplace (in the industrial area) was once visited by the "tiny snake".

And another case was the phyton sneaked into the draining pipe and dunno how; reached the ceiling and falled exactly from the ceiling onto the production floor....all the production personels ran away like mad...Creepy.

Where there is rat(mouse), there is always snake wan. They are natural enemies one ma. So better get rid of the rats....rearing a rat/mouse/hamster in a house is really an unwise move. I suggest Lionhead goldfish. =)

I dunno how anyone could hate the cute little rat ...

Now, i'm not a rodent lover by any extend, but that rat in the picture IS cute.. no doubt about it :)

If your housemates wanna give him / her away, there's a taker here :)

– Well, yeah. But hard lah. How to ask them to get rid of their 'baby'? Sure big argument wan.

Haha. LionHead goldfish? Hmmm. I wouldn't mind that lah. But I'd rather some other pet.

ATTN: Leon
– Why can't we hate rats? And it's not cute. It's just little. And if you ask me, it looks worse in real life. Heh.

Eh, you want the pest just take it lah. I can't wait for somebody to take it away. Haha.

Dunla get heads on with your housemate. Sometimes its good to be tolerance;'tutup one eye'. Its better to win a fren than to loose one over little thing. If that mouse is too smelly, find a more appropriate place(with good ventilation like balcony or etc) to rear lor...Well, I think suggesting is still Ok kua...

Hahaha....then I guess dog is your preference. Right?! I wanna own the tiny bulldog (~20cm tall) one day; especially the one that drips saliva when you stare at it. So cute!

– Ya. Also dun wan to bertentangan with housemates. It's complicates living situations. Susah lah if all dun like each other. Go home also dun feel at home wan.

No lah. I dun bother suggesting anything unless there's a "problem" that needs to be addressed. Whatever can ignore wan I just buat tak tau for now lah. If going overboard then only I sakai. Like that time they all blast music. Every night also like that. After a month only I bagi.

Hmmm. Yeah, I guess a dog would be my preference. But it'd be a lot nicer if I dun have to clean up after it lah.

Eeyer. Bulldogs are ugly man. I really have to question your taste when it comes to certain things. Can talk about dripping saliva summore. Eeyer.

ATTN: ERIC TENG CHANG JING
– HAHAHAHAHA. No meat lah if cook this one. Little kuchi cannot even fill one mouthful. Hmmm. But I think hor... Fry better. =p

Whoa...if everynight blast music until that loud, I also cannot tahan. But my ex-uni housemates were pretty understanding. We set a rule among ourselves to turn down the volume by midnite...Yes we did argue on certain stuffs but when come to BBQ/steamboat time, we were just like family. =)

eh, eh...this bulldog is different la...its BABY bulldog, so its still cute. Its a type of breed that will not grow any taller; U know the miniature type. Haha...I saw that one at my relative's house in KL. It stared at me and did not move at all and kept on dripping saliva. Its like seeing a 'baby' playin with saliva.

Pam Song said...

Ya lor. Terrible right? Haih. Susah lah like that. Summore they are students so they dun really have normal sleeping hours. Sien loh.

And it's not that I don't wanna be family family with them. Just that our schedules are very different. And they are so so so young lah! Plus they're the drinking and partying type. Susah. A bit tak ngam.

So what if it's a baby bulldog? A bulldog's a bulldog. Young or old also ugly wan. HAHA. And anyway, toy dogs stay small but their features change when they grow up so you can't assume that he'll look the same way he did when he was a pup. Nanti you wake up in the middle of the night you look into his face you kena heart attack. HAHA.

If these peoples are too annoying, find more comfortable and safe place to rentlor, especially housemates that are professional working adults or couples (degree graduates); usually they are more understanding.

That is how my colleagues from other states find housemates to share the house rent. No point of spilling too much of water onto the water lily plant (English translation to BM proverbs). Haha =P

I craze for a miniature bulldog. If it looks scary when it gets old, I find a mate for it......let them mate and here comes another set of cuties......Hahaha.....=)))

Pam Song said...

Ya lor. Currently looking lah. But the thing is, not easy to find a place nicer than the place I'm staying in lor. I'm looking for yuppies for housemates right now. Got a few places lah, I'm looking at. We'll see how things go. =p

Wei, if you find a mate for your ugly bulldog then in the end you'll have not one but TWO ugly bulldogs! HAHA. You're just making your problem worse! Haha.

Anonymous said...

Hahaha....thats rite....two ugly bulldogs to make maybe 3, 4 or even 5 cutest baby bulldogs....lagi best...

(-ve) x (-ve) = (+ve) okay....Hahaha =P

Pam Song said...

Haha. Alrighty then. You enjoy your bulldog family when you get it, alright? Haha.

Pam Song said...

Not purposely wanna spoil your dream wan. Just opening your eyes to see the truth. That's all. =)

Anyway, you think you can just "catch" a German Shepard? You must really like kidding yourself. If you can even catch a mongrel I'll give you a clap already lo.
