Die Die Want Lemon

I've got this thing about ordering expensive Coke. And let's face it. Coke that doesn't come from a vending machine or a fast food joint is crazy expensive. So how do I make myself feel less crummy about spending good money on a lousy petrol kiosk drink?

Well, I always ask for lemon in it.
Die die also must have ONE slice.

One slice only wat. Gimmie that one slice can go bankrupt meh? One slice also need to show sour face meh? It's already ridiculous charging RM12 for a pathetic glass of Coke, okay. The least I can have is a slice of lemon in it. That isn't too much to ask, now, is it? Well, yes, apparently it is. And no, friends will never understand.

Colleague 1: Eh, how come all our drinks never come wan?

Colleague 2: There! This girl lah! Coke Coke Coke. Summore want lemon! Summore people have to go chop lemon! Haih!

Pam Song: Uh... It's slice.

Colleague 2: *blink blink* Huh?

Pam Song: S-L-I-C-E.

Colleague 2: Why? Slice what?

Pam Song: The lemon. Cos you don't chop a lemon up. You slice it.

Colleague: *pause* Oh. Haha. What'd I say?

Pam Song: *rolls eyes and shakes head* I give up.

I said don't laugh.

It's like calling water "sky juice" when you order at fancy places. Haha. I like kidding myself. But apparently... so do you, dear second cousin. =p

But no lah. Cannot tahan di that's why I just order and telan. Or else sure headache from dehydration. That'd be even worse! But you know what I don't like? I don't like it when they remove my glass when I've left 1cm of drink left in it INTENTIONALLY. That's RM1 in there, wei!!!

ATTN: Jacob. Y

the waiter probably took it to the back and wiped the lemon slice somewhere 'aromatic' on his body before dropping it in your cup. Service with a smile! :)

Yah! That was rather expensive for a glass of softdrink...Eh?! How come you didnt order fresh fruit punch....I think should be about the same price also kua...Better deal I think....=)

Pam Song said...

Cos I didn't think. I just ordered. HAHA.

Anonymous said...

If got refills....I think its still Ok but if a glass only, Hmmm...a slice of lemon is not too demanding...=P

At Nandos, a glass of softdrink is less than RM5 and at some outlets, you will get to refill for free. So now you know where to head for lunch already...Run through the menu first before you order lo next time, bcos some drinks are just not worth to order...=)

Haha I was laughing away even before I read the next line which said, "I said don't laugh." *Laughs somemore*

No la my reason's not the same as you..I just like the lemon taste =D. Not like someone who kids herself into thinking it's cultured..LOL.

Lesley dear,

(Please insert stress points at the necessary parts in the following paragraph.)

This is NO way to treat a RELATIVE of yours who has HELPED YOU with your presentation.

*guilt seeps into Lesley's heart and the laughter dies on her lips in a final strangled cackle*

To be continued...

p/s: We share the same blood. What's in me, is in you. HAH! You also sure want to feel cultured wan. Just dare not admit only. It's okay, you know. This is an old post. Few will actually pop by for another read. Your secret's safe here. Just LET 'ER RIP and SET YOURSELF FREE FROM THE EMOTIONAL ANGUISH and TORMENT!

You are in my thoughts and in my prayers.

Pam Song said...

Whoa. That was a long postscript. =p

Anonymous said...

Emotional anguish and torment? Haha I feel neither because:
I. told. the. truth. =D
And the truth shall set you free!

Hehe it is you, my dear 23-year-old (yes, I'm rubbing it in! You're TWENTY THREE! I'm younger than you =P) relative that should feel guilty because you thought so lowly of me as to assume that I was lying..haha.

Pam Song said...

Ahhh, guilt comes from having worried about the reception of one's doings on the receiver's end. That, I have none. Mwahahaha.

*grumble grumble*

You wait lah until you turn 23. I shall bask in the glory of you leaving your youth behind. Adulthood stinks. You'll see soon enough. Time flies faster and faster as you age. Trust me. T-r-u-s-t meeeeee.......

- l e s l e y* - said...

Oh but guilt also comes from wrongly accusing someone of something they did not do. And that, you are quilty of doing..hehe.

Hahaha when I turn 23 that means you'll be TWENTY SEVEN!! Now are you sure you want to be that old so soon ;)? You're already old now, you sure you want to be older? Hehehe..

And why should I trust you eh my dear cousin? You didn't believe me when I said I like the lemon taste =P.

Pam Song said...

So what happens if I'm guilty of doing something I feel no guilt for?

If I'm not married and pregnant by the time I'm 27, please... throw me into the sea with a wreaking ball tied to my ankles. =(

Oh... trust is a funny thing. You'll just have to build on it. But don't worry. I'll always be here to reassure you. =p

You're still guilty =D.

Aiyo..wanna get married for what? It's not like must oso. My cousin just got married and she's 28 la. And my aunt is not married and she's older than my Dad. And she's great.

I'll always be here to reassure you. =p
Hmmm...I don't believe or trust that you will..haha. You've gotta be proven trustworthy not reassure me ;).

Pam Song said...

Wah!

You quite difficult to please, right?

- l e s l e y* - said...

HAHAHA..just arguing for fun =D.
Since you seem to like aguing too..haha. And teasing =P.
