We'll Be Together

Artist: Ashley Tisdale
Song Title: We'll Be Together

I’m not alone even when we’re apart
I feel you in the air, yeah
I’m not afraid, I know what you’re thinking
I can hear you everywhere
Some people say it’ll never happen
And we’re just wasting time
But good things come when you least expect them
So I don’t really mind

[CHORUS]
We’ll be together, come whatever
I’m not just staring at the stars
Just remember that no one else can tell us who we are
We’ll be together so don’t ever stop listening to your heart
’Cause I can’t turn mine off

I can’t pretend this is a rehearsal for the real thing
Because it’s not
And I know we’re young but I can’t help feeling what I’m feeling
And I won’t stop
Some things are meant to be and they’ll be there
When the time is right
Even though I know that, I swear
I wish it was tonight

[CHORUS]
We’ll be together, come whatever
I’m not just staring at the stars
Just remember that no one else can tell us who we are
We’ll be together so don’t ever stop listening to your heart
’Cause I can’t turn mine off

(Ooo, yeah) I like what’s happening to me
(Ooo, yeah) Nothing else to say (oh)
(Ooo, yeah) Somebody finally got to me
Carried me away

[CHORUS]
We’ll be together, come whatever
I’m not just staring at the stars
Just remember that no one else can tell us who we are
We’ll be together so don’t ever stop listening to your heart
’Cause I can’t turn mine off

I’m not alone even when we’re apart I feel you

I'm at a really weird place right now.

Emotions rushing through me,
feelings overwhelm me,
thoughts going through my mind.
(Well, they're supposed to anyways.)

But I feel nothing.

And I've nothing to say.
No, wait. That came out wrong.
I don't know what to say.

"We’ll be together, come whatever"

--------

Cloaked in the dark of the night, they slowly but surely reveal themselves. A discreet but unmistakable presence that radiates empowering energy. The same energy that more than hints that nothing less than spectacular is to be expected of what's to come.

In time, one by one, they come into view and dance across the seemingly clandestine stage of ebony. And soon, many others follow, lighting up the night sky, chasing away the shadows, and stripping away the veil of darkness.

I lap it all up. The dramatic spectacle of splendor that never fails to make my night. A brilliant performance with lighting displays no man will ever have the ability to reproduce. All that, at no cost at all to me.

I miss the stars. I miss my star.

It's been awhile.
